HASD Approved Budget for 2012-13 School Year

 

On October 22, 2012, the Hortonville Area School District's School Board approved a budget for the 2012-13 school year. Planning for this year's budget started in March of last year, where the administrative team reviewed the current programs, and proposed any new programs for this school year.

New School Report Card Debuts in Wisconsin

    

This month, the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) has issued a School Report Card for your child's school and for every public school in Wisconsin. The School Report Card will help parents understand how their child's school is doing and where it can improve. The new report cards will help all Wisconsin public schools get a better picture of how well they help children learn, advance to the next grade, and graduate ready for college and career.  Our goal is to help every student in a Wisconsin school succeed, graduate, and be ready to pursue further education and a career.  Read more... 

 

HHS Presents "A Christmas Carol" the Musical
     

Ebenezer Scrooge, a miserly banker (played by Noah Frazier), lives a stingy life and this is most evident at Christmas time. He rejects all the good tidings of the holiday, he rejects charity workers requests for donations and he overworks his bookkeeper Bob Cratchit (played by Harrison Ellis).

Early Childhood Education 

 

Did you know?  

  • The Family and Consumer Science (FCS) department offers three early childhood education transcripted classes through FVTC.
  • Students who successfully complete the three early childhood classes at HHS may qualify for 12 technical college credits.
  • Many of these credits will transfer to 4-year universities if the student plans to continue their education in early childhood or elementary education.

The FCS department at HHS offers a sequence of early childhood education classes for students interested in working with children. Each class focuses on a particular age, and observation in area classrooms is required. Read more...
