Phase III Expansion Approved

Brazos County has approved approximately a $3 million expansion to the Expo facilities. The Covered Warm-Up Arena will be expanded to a full stall barn, two new Covered Warm-Up Arenas will be added, an additional parking lot will be included, approximately 30 RV space added, and additional improvements to the existing outdoor facilities are planned. Phase III will be funded with Hotel Occupancy Tax funds which are generated by local tourism. Construction is expected to begin this Spring and should be completed by Spring 2017. Every effort will be made to work around events booked during the construction. Join us for our groundbreaking ceremony in the near future. Details will follow.
The FY 2015 Economic Impact Report will be presented on January 26th at the Brazos County Commissioners Court. All are welcome to listen to Dr. Rebekka Dudensing, Assistant Professor in Agricultural Economics, Community Economist, Texas Agri-Life Extension Service at Texas A&M University, report the results.
