The 2016 Healing Touch Worldwide Conference was AWESOME!
 Nearly 300 healers gathered together in Charlotte, NC in August for the Healing Touch Program Conference. Our time together was spent connecting, learning, sharing, growing and celebrating.
This was an amazing conference where we set the intention to create a healer's retreat. What we heard time and again was that we were successful. People reported that they loved the attention on personal care and development. The more relaxed schedule allowed us to connect at a deeper level and participate more fully. The information shared in the conference really shows that our healing work is moving to a much higher level in the acceptance; research and backing; opportunities that exist; and in our overall skill as healers. We were inspired by the speakers, and by each other. Many people reported that they left re-energized and ready to create new goals for growth as we go out in the world to "Do the Work!"

did all the amazing work in the office with registrations and other logistics. Energy Magazine September/October Issue
Many energy medicine practices stress the need for self-care and incorporate tools for this care into their teaching. Yet, often we find that the practice of self-care takes work and commitment. Healers are inherently care-givers. Even when we are trained to care for ourselves as well, we place that piece last on the list. Our work, practice, loved ones, families, patients and clients tend to come first. We publish many articles, including some in this issue, that suggest tools for self-care. Seizing an Opportunity to Promote Healing Touch

 When an opportunity for promoting Healing Touch walks nearby your area at a Stand Down for homeless veterans, your grab it! Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner visited a South Side Chicago Stand Down for homeless veterans last June. While he was touring the Armory, Healing Touch community volunteers offered his entourage a Healing Touch session. They gently declined because they were pressed for time. As the Governor started to walk instead toward the exit, I approached and heard him chatting about the "need to do more to help all new and older veterans with their physical, mental and emotional ailments." Now within arm's length, I spoke up and informed the Governor that "We are helping veterans with a holistic energy modality called Healing Touch." He turned and gave me his total attention while asking "Where are we doing this?" I Informed him " Right here at the Stand Down with the help of the Healing Touch Community and VA folks, and at Jessie Brown (JB) VA and Hines VA in Chicago. I shared that Healing Touch is helping veterans with PTSD, TBI, pain, anxiety and post trauma healing. That is why we have were given a Healing Touch consult clinic at JB VA and a follow up nurse run clinic. We also provide Healing Touch through our Palliative Care/Hospice Consult team. It is making a difference! I handed him our JB VA Healing Touch Clinic Card that lists the Healing Touch providers in our clinic and a contact number. I offered to provide him with more information or a session if he would like to experience Healing Touch personally. You never know when you will be called upon to promote Healing Touch so be prepared. Let your passion motivate you in sharing information about our work! My motto & cheer is "Hit 'em high, hit 'em low and sow seeds about Healing Touch where ever you go." Let spirit be your guide.

Healing Touch for Animals Celebrates 20th Anniversary

 Healing Touch for Animals� is proud to announce it is celebrating its 20th Anniversary year, and the company's program continues to grow as more participants share their amazing experiences healing their animals through energy medicine therapy. New Body Prayer DVD by Cynthia Hutchison and Introduction to Body Prayer

Most of you know me as the Educational Program Director or as one of your HT instructors. Healing Touch has been my vocational work since 1992. It has changed my life in so many wonderful ways, including the experience of having a strong family-like and professional community and friendships all over the world. Along with Healing Touch, another complementary daily practice in my life is Body Prayer. I had the honor of presenting this work as a keynote speaker at HTP's recent 2016 Worldwide Conference. For me, practicing body prayer deepens my connection to Spirit. How? Because I am not just engaging my thoughts, heart and intentions, but I am also engaging my will forces, using my physical body through movement and gestures which symbolize my thoughts, feelings and intentions. In this way, body prayer is similar to the practice of Healing Touch, where we consciously and heart-fully engage our thinking, feeling and willing to facilitate a healing process. In both, we ground, center, attune and hold positive intentionality. As I describe in the DVD, there are five types of prayer: Adoration; Petition; Intercession; Gratitude; and Affirmation. All of these are part of body prayer. Adding conscious devotional gestures to your prayer life can deepen your spiritual connection and experience. Body prayer is a way of enhancing one's prayer practice by adding meaningful gestures to devotional thoughts and feelings. It is applicable to all spiritual paths and religious orientations. In this five part DVD, I present to you my understanding of Body Prayer through visual and auditory methods, including a practice video with four Universal Prayers, which you can adapt your own faith. These are: 1. The Vowel Prayer (Ah-Aye-Ee-Oo-Uu); 2. The AUM Prayer (Past-Present-Future); 3. Prayer of Jabez (from Old Testament); 4. The Halleluia (based on traditional Eurythmy). Parts 1 and 2 include educational, yet meditative pictorial descriptions and experiences providing background information and an understanding of the four spiritual dimensions of the human being. Part 3 provides a video overview of the various body prayer gestures, their meanings, and how they are associated with the words of four Universal prayers. Part 4 is a practice video that enables the viewer to either listen to the prayer while practicing the gestures with me, or opting for no voice/sound, and experiencing the gestures/prayers energetically and spiritually in silence. Healing Touch Level 1 Class
 Learn about Healing Touch and the many ways it can enhance your life. This interactive, participatory class lays the foundation for the practice of Healing Touch. Healing Touch Level 5 Class
This is the final class in the Healing Touch Program curriculum. Time is spent reviewing and evaluating
each student's home study work completed after Level 4. Focus is on Healing Touch session work with clients, the mentorship experience, establishing a healing practice, case management, practitioner ethics, scope of practice and professional issues. This class also prepares students for the
practitioner certification process and criteria, and assists them in evaluating their progress and level of commitment to the certification process. Upon satisfactory completion of all work, the student receives a Certificate of Completion for the Healing Touch Program.
Prerequisites: HT Level 4 and a minimum of six months supervised mentorship

Healing Touch Level 6 Class
This class is for the Healing Touch Certified Practitioner who wishes to become a Healing Touch Certified Instructor qualified to teach Healing Touch Level 1 classes. Emphasis is on principles of adult learning, group dynamics, methods of teaching, classroom management and teaching Healing Touch Level 1 techniques.
Instructor certification is an appropriate goal for the HTCP who wishes to:
- Teach Healing Touch classes
- Be in a Healing Touch leadership role in their community or a healthcare facility
- Establish a sustainable Healing Touch program within healthcare

Healing Touch Advanced Practice 1 & 2 Classes
Students who have completed the first three levels of the Healing Touch Program are eligible to take, together or separately, the two-part Advanced Practice series.
Advanced Practice 1 is designed to deepen and broaden your energy healing skills while learning new methods including the concepts of sacred geometry.
Advanced Practice 2 introduces an energetic approach to working with trauma called the Trauma Release Technique. This powerful sequence and method provides relief to clients who are experiencing long term effects from one or more previous traumatic events.
