New Look for the Healing Touch Community Newsletter
Welcome to the new format for our monthly newsletter. Many of our subscribers are reading the newsletter on tablets and cell phones so we've chosen a mobile friendly template that we hope works well for you.

Our Healing Touch community is growing and thriving, and we are excited to continue sharing news with you. To support our practitioners and students we are adding a "Featured Article Section" that will include articles about Healing Touch written by our community members.

Our goal is to provide you with helpful information on:
  • Ways Healing Touch is being used to enhance and change people's lives
  • Interesting things happening in our Healing Touch community
  • Events of interest
  • Information about HTP classes and products
Sue Walker is returning as editor. Please email Sue if you would like to write an article or have feedback sue@healingtouchprogram.com.

Thank you for being part of the Healing Touch Community and for the light you are in the world.
UPDATES
Healing Touch Professional Association Update
New Project to Update Healing Touch Recommended Reading List

A volunteer committee began working in January on a one-year project to update the books on the recommended reading list.

The goal is to create a one or two-page list of current reference books to support the path to practitioner certification and provide professional growth resources for all Healing Touch students and practitioners.

Committee members are: Paul Mack, Chairperson; Ellie Lanier, Secretary; Karolyn Howard, Gaby Schlumpber. Process advisors are Dawn Warnaca and Karin Ogren.

All HTCPS and all HTPA members are welcome to provide input on books to add, keep and delete. Please send comments to director@htprofessionalassociation.com.

Status updates will be provided. Please email Committee Chair, Paul Mack at paulmack1971@gmail.com with questions or comments on the committee's work.

My Fabulous Fear of Firsts ~ Creating HT Community
Walle Adams-Gerdts, RN, BA, CHt, HTCP/I

I live in the first town in the first state in our country: Lewes, Deleware. It is a sleepy little beach community that was settled back in the 1600's by the Danish. Reminders of this are everywhere, as one walks past the museum, shops, boats, and noted historically honored homes. Lewes is unique in that it is also quite a progressive small town with a variety of people and interests. As with any community, there is "push-pull" with development and infrastructure governmental concerns. It is pet and people friendly, and has been a place of respite off and on for several years for our family.

Instructors in Training with Cynthia Hutchison
On January 9th-10th, I taught a Healing Touch Level 1 class in Boulder, Colorado, my home town. Each year I offer two rounds of Level 1, 2 and 3, one early in each year and another in the autumn. My most recent Level 1 was very special for two reasons. The first is that I had five amazing instructors in training who were there for a Teaching Assistant experience.
