Dear , 
Happy Halloween and Fall greetings to you! This is always a busy time of year in the HTP office with many classes and all the preparations underway for the new classes being posted to the 2015 calendar. Just as the seeds we sow in the spring bring us the harvest we enjoy now, the work and preparation we put into our Healing Touch activities lead to the success we will enjoy in our practice, and healing we will bring to others in the future.
I am so grateful for all the new students that are exploring and learning Healing Touch for the first time, as well as for all the returning students, and dedicated practitioners. These are the people that make up our community - Our Tribe! I think it is so wonderful to be so lucky to be a part of such an amazing group of people. Our group is one where everyone can know that they are unconditionally loved and accepted, while staying in alignment with their true nature. Among our beautiful Healing Touch Tribe I find people who love and accept me just as I am, and who support our work. I find myself growing braver to face the challenges that lie before us as we work towards our vision of inspiring and empowering humanity to achieve holistic health, healing and well being.
Our tribe is about working together, and bringing opportunities to grow and heal to others. I hope that you are taking advantage of some of the many opportunities created to expand your involvement in your community and to allow you to participate in your HT tribe.
Healing Touch Professional Association (HTPA) chapters are a perfect way to join together with people in your area that share your passion for Healing Touch, and your vision for spreading the work. You can find a chapter near you through the Community Connections website. If there isn't a chapter near you, take the initiative and start one! HTPA Chapters
HTPA helps us connect with our larger tribe through live chat calls every month. You can join others passionate about HT to talk about your practice, share stories, successes and challenges, and to ask questions relevant to your HT experiences. There are also HT practice groups all around the world that offer the chance to work together and improve your practice skills and offer HT to those who need it. See HT Practice Groups

| New Book on Healing Touch | 
Congratulations to Janie Hughes, RN, HTCP for getting her new book published by Balboa Press. This is a story about a young boy, Cliffy, who falls off a swing. The Cliffy's mom shows him and his sister how positive thoughts and touch can help Cliffy relax and benefit from the healing process. This is a great book for introducing the concepts of Healing Touch to all ages.
Janie's Inspiration for this new book:
On March 23, 2014, I had an incredible healing session. When I sat up afterwards I had a message in my mind that children need to know how important it is to be kind to each other. What they put out into the world affects our world because we're all connected. They also need to have tools to cope with the problems that arise with growing up. This is how I was inspired to write Magic in Your Hands. For the next few weeks I wrote and rewrote the story. I wanted a local artist and Marcia Long was recommended to me. It was wonderful to have her illustrate my ideas. Publishing the book through Balboa was very easy because they helped with every step. I have had a lot of fun and gained wonderful insight with this project. I plan to take the story into local schools and share it with children. Creating Space for Energy Healing in our world.

Energy Healers have a great sense of the connection between the physical and spiritual. As holistic practitioners we strive to create the conditions for healing of the whole individual to take place. There is a similar connection that we often don't think about as much, the connection between our legal structure and our day to day life.
Our laws literally define the world we live in, yet we often take for granted that we set our intentions in it by voicing our opinion, and taking real action.
Most of the practitioners I meet are inspired to see healing happen in the world, but I believe often are focused on the work in front of them, and don't realize the bigger opportunity. Bringing Energy Medicine in all its forms into our everyday world requires us bringing it into the language that defines our world. That may sound ominous, but the reality is that it is much closer than you may know.
The language that defines our society is specifically our laws and our legal system. Our system was designed for us to influence the world we live in. We create our government, and the rules we live within.
There is an organization that is dedicated to creating a healthy nation with empowered people making informed health care decisions.
This is National Health Freedom Action (NHFA). This is the same group that has helped author and sponsor important legislation protecting the right of individuals to practice natural healing modalities, and that worked to oppose legislation that would limit the practitioner's right to practice, like the bill in Maryland that we helped to petition against and defeat.
The space and legal language for Energy Medicine will be created. The question is will your voice help make sure that language creates the kind of embracing support that you envision for your healing work?
Right now the National Health Freedom Action is seeking support. I am asking for you to consider the level of help that you can offer now, to create your intention and take steps to make your vision of Energy Healing in the world a reality.
