The Healing Touch Worldwide conference is only two and a half months away! Hundreds of us will be gathering in Schaumburg, IL a suburb of Chicago -approximately 9 miles from Chicago O'Hare International Airport. We are particularly excited to be preparing for this year's event, as it has been two years since our last Worldwide Conference. Last year we held five regional conferences around the country which enabled me to meet many of our North American community members and to learn more about how HTP is growing in different areas.
If you can be at conference, I encourage you to plan to spend extra day or two in Chicago. I was able to stay an extra day last year at our Chicago area HTP Regional Conference, and enjoyed an architectural boat tour that was fantastic - learning and exploring the rich history of Chicago and its buildings.
The Worldwide Conference is one of my favorite events because I get to be spend time with our Healing Touch Community face to face. I treasure being able to hear directly from students, practitioners and instructors about how Healing Touch has impacted their lives personally and professionally. Our togetherness and the stories and ideas you share, inspire me in how HTP can support our community and share our resources.
More reasons to join us at conference this year:
- This is an exclusive event that is focused on Healing Touch!
- We will learn from 30+ inspired experts in our field !
- Combine Self-care and FUN! FUN! FUN! KAREN DRUCKER.... Need I say more?
- Network with peers and friends to learn, to grow and to appreciate!
- Experience a cosmic sound healing through a very special sound healing evening.
- Hear for the first time results from the 2012 study by Dr. Monica Nebauer on Spirituality and Healing Touch Practitioners.
- Shopping in the vendor area!
- Go home feeling motivated, healed and inspired....
- Experience joy in being with our worldwide HT Family!

Wonderful News from the HTP office!!
We have two new staff members to welcome!

Kay Sims, is managing all of our class certificates and the HTP student database. She comes to us from a rich, multifaceted background. Kay served in the army, in the banking industry, sold real estate, and recently finished school for medical billing and coding. In 2012 after a Triple Negative breast cancer diagnosis, she decided to forego chemotherapy and radiation in favor of holistic options. Kay began the journey of researching natural ways to heal the body, mind and spirit, and her journey led her to HTP. She is very excited to work with us and is very customer service oriented! Welcome Kay!

Jenna Gonzalez is managing our Healing Touch Store and helping us with our ANCC accreditation administration. She comes from a background of working as an administrative assistant for both legal and statistical firms. Jenna also practices spiritual healing and has training from the Heart Path Retreat Center in Santa Fe, NM. Striving to find the balance of working "a job" and being spiritually fulfilled, Jenna is experiencing her work with HTP as a providing that balance. Welcome Jenna!
The HTP office is here to support you. Please contact us - we love to hear from you!
I look forward to seeing everyone at the Conference in Chicago.
Life is Incredible!

Traditional Native American Pathways to Inner Peace for Personal Growth
This workshop presentation describes the Traditional Native American path of personal growth and development as lived by the native people of the upper Mid-west and northern Canadian regions of America. This pathway begins with four basic aspects of life which relates to the development of our human energy fields - the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies. The four aspects of the Native culture for development are Trust, Acceptance, Honesty and Healing. Each of these aspects have dimensions within themselves that affect how our energy and our body develops. Participants will be able to use this information to enhance their own lives or apply this knowledge to enhance their practice of Healing using energetic interventions.
In this workshop participants will be able to experience ancient and current use Native Traditional song, prayer and drumming that bring inner personal growth, harmony and peace to oneself and others. This use of the ancient sounds of the drum along with song and prayer increases our vibrational capacity and connections to all that there is in life.
Joseph Davis was born in Baton Rouge, LA. He is of Cherokee-Choctaw and African American Descent, and follows the "old ways" of his ancestors. One of the offerings at the Healing Touch Worldwide Conference in August is a keynote presentation and a panel discussion on introducing Healing Touch into hospitals and healthcare settings: Integrating Healing Touch into Healthcare.
With the NCCA National Accreditation of the HTCP credential, Healing Touch practitioners are poised to launch more prominently into the mainstream healthcare setting. - Do you desire to create your own options or join something established?
- Would you like to work full-time or part-time?
- What personal barriers have impeded you?
- If you approached an institution, what barriers did you meet?
- Who are your advocates?
- Who are your adversaries?
- What is your vision? Consider where you would like to offer your Healing Touch Services ie: Volunteer at Hospital or Organization, Private Practice, Spiritual Institution, Medical Office, Hospital, etc. The possibilities are endless!
