Happy St. Patrick's Day
WE NEED YOUR HELP
Greetings!
BRINGING HEALING TOUCH SERVICE to the MILITARY, LOCALLY, NATIONALLY and WORLDWIDE is a huge HTPA goal. We need your help to manifest it. You can participate even if only by setting the intention with us and placing your heart-centered focus on that intention daily. Visualize it happening with us.

In our December 2012 Newsletter, we highlighted the current movement to Global Oneness and "The Conscious Evolution of Universal Humanity." Now we would like to manifest those goals through our HT Service to the Military and their families. In the concept of "The Conscious Evolution of Universal Humanity" exists a huge population throughout the world among which are military persons of all nationalities, races and locations - active, reservists, disabled, retired, with family, etc. Because YOU, our members, are also located all over the world (and/or have roots globally) we are not limited to any country or continent. BUT, it takes "conscious" participation to make this Service happen - so, WE NEED YOUR HELP!!

For us to truly participate in the formation of Global Oneness, we need to act inclusively and think worldly. Now that we are making headway serving more Military and their families here in the US, we have models to use (and will be gathering more as we continue to develop Healing Touch Service and offer training in HT Self-care to that population). It is a natural progression for us to begin to actively serve the Military in as many ways and in as many countries as we can but, WE NEED YOUR HELP!!

Who can help us connect with and find opportunities to serve the worldwide Military and their families? YOU CAN!!  We are asking ALL OF YOU to participate.

Let us know if you know of ways to connect us with opportunities in your country of origin; let us know if you want to help design a trip to another country for this purpose; let us know if you have ideas of how to create long distance HT Service to the Military; TAKE ACTION, if you want to make a donation to the HTWF Designated Fund for HTPA's Service to the Military, DO IT NOW! You can even set up an on-going monthly donation of any denomination.
Make a Donation

Here's a suggestion: if you are part of a Local HTPA Chapter, start a committee to research and find contacts in other parts of the world and/or adopt a city or village globally and begin to learn where you/we can help to provide Healing Touch to the Military and their families there. Then we will share the knowledge with other Local HTPA Chapters.

Another suggestion: since the country with the largest HTPA membership number outside the USA, is CANADA, we would like to invite all our Canadian members to TAKE ACTION and search for opportunities for us to support you to serve the Canadian Military and their families as we simultaneously develop HT Service to the Military here in the US. We can then create and offer models to others in other countries.

Let's make this year the year we bring Healing Touch Service to the Military worldwide!! If you would like to help manifest this goal, please e-mail Sharon at [email protected].

HTPA March Business Support  "Live" Interview

 Tuesday, March 12, 2013 9pm - 10:15pm Eastern

Interview with Cyndi Dale, Energy Medicine Scholar, Author, Healer

"Learn About Developing Your Spiritual Gifts

So Necessary for Energy Healing"

cyndi Cyndi is an internationally renowned author, speaker, healer and business consultant. She was a keynote presenter at the Worldwide Healing Touch Conference 2 years ago and is going to present Wings for Flying: Stages of Growth for Healer, Sage, and Seer at the HTP Mid-West Regional Conference in Chicago April 4-5, 2013. She has authored 15 books about energy medicine and spirituality including The Subtle Body: An Encyclopedia of Your Energetic Anatomy, published by Sounds True, a desk reference on the HTP recommended reading list that supports an integrative approach to wellness.

One of Cyndi's passions is to help people open their "essential energy," the powers and perspectives unique to them. She believes that "once an individual understands their own essence, they can tap into the energies of-and beyond-the world, joining the community of like-minded people who want to better themselves and others."

subtle body During our interview with Cyndi we will learn about her one-year Apprenticeship Program, which is an in-depth developmental process of the spiritual gifts; and training in clairvoyance, clairaudience, and healing. When asked what she means by "spiritual gifts," Cyndi says "I believe that we are all born with at least one major psychic gift. There are 12 fundamental psychic abilities, each located in a chakra. The job of our psychic abilities is to link us with the subtle realms to gather data and energy so we can be safe. As most of us know, there are two main problems with operating psychically in the world. We either gather too much information, which leads to psychic overload, or are so scared of our gifts that we shut them down."

All attending this "live" Interview with Cyndi will have the chance to ask questions about her many books and CDs on Chakra Healing, Intuition, Energetic Boundaries; her one-year Apprenticeship Program (all HTP and HTPA members are being offered a 25% discount) and her up-coming presentation at the HTP Regional Conference. This will be fun and without a doubt enlightening - you won't want to miss it!

Liability Insurance Update

Slip and Fall This year we have seen a huge increase in our Professional and General Liability Insurance inquires and subscriptions. This of course is due to the fact that Energy Practice is in demand and becoming more and more main stream. The more we and our "work" are exposed to the general public, liability issues rise, landlords are requiring it, clients expect it, etc. Our HTPA Liability Insurance costs pennies per day to carry and yet provides you protection from a potentially costly claim. Just the peace of mind, knowing that if your client were to slip and fall while in your environment, you are covered, is worth the annual fee. Also, when you carry your Insurance through HTPA (an energy practice source rather than through a massage source) you are supporting the growth of our Energy Medicine Profession. For information about HTPA's Liability Insurance follow this Link: Liability Insurance.

Ongoing Discussions

Reimbursement for Healing Touch and other Energy Practice remains a "hot topic" of discussion. It continues to be a divided opinion as to whether we should get involved in setting ourselves up with Health Insurance Reimbursement as it is well known that it can be a paperwork nightmare and that reimbursement can take months, even years as a result many practitioners (who are in private practice, outside of an MD's office) have taken to giving their clients an invoice and having the client submit that invoice to their insurance source. But even better, we now encourage asking your clients if they have a Health Savings Account (HSA) or a Flexible Savings Account (FSA) as both of these sources almost always allow funds to used for Energy Practice sessions. There have been articles written through HTPA and published in Energy Magazine about this (including Links to invoice samples). To see the May/June 2012 and Sept/Oct 2012 issues of Energy Magazine visit the archive page

Bringing HT Service to the Military:

Report on HTPA's attendance at the Warrior Resiliency Advisory Team Planning Meeting 1/19/13 - The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) and the Veteran Resiliency Project (VRP) have joined forces in creating the Warrior Resiliency Program (WRP), a unique program weaving together traditional and non-traditional modalities of care. The goal of this program is to achieve post traumatic growth, which refers to a positive psychological change experienced as a result of the struggle with highly challenging life circumstances. These sets of circumstances represent significant challenges to the adaptive resources of the individual, and pose significant challenges to the individuals' way of understanding the world and their place in it. Post-traumatic growth is not simply returning to the place they were before the event occurred, but to become better or show improvement, due to those challenges.

The mission of WWP is to "Honor and Empower Wounded Warriors." A wounded warrior is defined as a service member or veteran who incurred a wound, injury or illness of the mind or body in the line of duty on or after September 11, 2001. www.woundedwarriorproject.org

About the Veteran Resiliency Project

ravendrum logo The Veteran Resiliency Project (VRP) provides a variety of programs that support veterans and their families as they learn to live with the personal impacts of war and separation. These programs guide participants and give them somatic and contemplative tools that bring the body and mind to a place of rest and balance. The Veteran Resiliency Project is sponsored by the Raven Drum Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2001 by Rick Allen, drummer for Def Leppard, and Lauren Monroe, musician and healer. Raven Drum's mission is to serve, educate and empower veterans and people in crisis. www.ravendrumfoundation.org

Needless to say, HTPA and HTP were delighted to be invited to attend the WRP Advisory Team Planning Meeting for the Project described here. As our representative, Sue Walker handed out full information packets introducing all meeting attendees to HTPA and HTP. The relationships we made at the meeting are invaluable. Not attending the meeting was Kathy Layte, Chair of the Research Advisory Council for Healing Touch Program, who is in active discussion about the research possibilities for this Project.

Lauren Monroe Allen shared "We believe that the choice to ask you here is not only based on our own experience of how successful your work is but also on the evidence-based programs that you've constructed within your modality. Ultimately this program is going to be published so others can read about it, be inspired, and take bigger steps. Our goal -the health and well-being of our veterans and their families- is the core of this program. "

Funds for HTPA expenses to attend this meeting were provided through our Healing Touch Worldwide Foundation Designated Fund for HTPA. If you would like to help us continue our participation in this Project and others providing HT Service to the Military, please consider making a donation to our Fund - no matter what size you give, it will make a difference.

The Dalai Lama Foundation is the Association for Global New Thought's (AGNT) special guest for this unique free tele-seminar to honor the addition of His Holiness' name to the Gandhi King Gyatso Season for Nonviolence this year. Many SNV groups have participated in "Ethics for a New Millennium Study Circles," a curriculum developed by DLF based on the book. This is a chance to hear fresh news of the Dalai Lama Foundation's plans for expansion of this course, and perhaps to offer "Beyond Religion," the Dalai Lama's newest work, for future study groups.

The teleconference panel will set a foundation for what we mean by "secular ethics" in a new millennium, why the Tibetan culture and wisdom of His Holiness the Dalai Lama are key to this work on a universal level, and what is the vision of the Dalai Lama Foundation in cultivating partnerships with organizations and individuals who share the same values. As Humanity's Team--in partnership with AGNT--embarks upon planning Global Oneness Day 2013, we invite you to join us for an exciting hour of presentations and dialogue, also participating in small group discussions with others from around the world.
