Don't fall for "IRS Phone Scam"
Hudson residents are receiving scam calls from individuals claiming to be from the IRS. Victims are told they owe money to the IRS and it must be paid promptly through a pre-loaded debit card or wire transfer.
If the victim refuses to cooperate, they are often threatened with arrest, deportation or suspension of a business or driver's license. If you receive a phone call like this, hang up and do not call the number. For more information about this scam, click here.
