On behalf of our growing Dover Group family, I hope everyone is enjoying the first few weeks of summer. We have been very busy as each of our seasonal locations are officially up and running.

 

I am especially eager to announce that the Grand Opening of Peter's Clam Bar was everything we could have hoped for, and more. Standing alongside elected officials, police officers, firefighters, community members, friends and family, we reopened the doors to one of Long Island's most well-known summer restaurants. Not only were we touched by the support, but thrilled to begin servicing the community. As we embark on this new journey, we remain eternally appreciative of the memories our patrons have helped us to make, and look forward to maintaining the famed name Peter's has rightfully earned.

 

Dover is also excited to announce its role in the newest health initiative to storm the nation. As a leader in the snack industry, Quick Snack Vending has stepped forward as one of the first providers to offer healthy food options in school vending machines. On June 25th, we partnered with Brentwood High School to publicly
 replace all sugary snacks, with options that include granola bars, pop chips and bottled water. The health of our community's children is important to us, and we are committed to doing our part in providing them with the choices they deserve. 

 

Remember, whether it's a waterfront party at the Sands, a weekend kickoff at Maliblue, or a seafood dinner at Hudsons, our primary goal is always to leave you with an experience you will remember. As you are likely aware, family has been, and remains a constant theme here at Dover. With that said, we are excited to continue extending that kinship as we enjoy the warm weather.

 

We cannot wait to see all of you at our re-opened, seasonal facilities this summer!

 On June 7th, North Shore-LIJ hosted its annual corporate BBQ and softball game. The Mitchel Field Athletic Complex was teaming with over 5,000 guests, incredible food and fun entertainment by Dream Events. That same day, Local 15, The Union Of Operating Engineers, hosted their annual picnic at Eisenhower Park. With a crowd of nearly 2,000, it was all about fun in the sun for employees, friends and families.

Malibu Beach Camp

On Sunday, June 22
nd, campers, parents and counselors came together for a start of the summer "Meet and Greet". This fun filled day allowed children and parents to get to know staff and learn more about the Malibu Beach Camp experience. The first official day began on Monday, June 30
th.

 

Offering an array of activities from arts and crafts to sports for children ages three to thirteen, Malibu Beach Camp prides itself on maintaining a family atmosphere that not only supports, but also encourages the development of self-esteem and social skills.  Located in Lido Beach, the dynamic programs and special events organized for campers are sure to guarantee fun for all.
