Halloween Time

Halloween is right around the corner. My favorite part is the little baby and toddler and even pet costumes. The candy... not so much. I'll be Boo Bowling with the toddlers and two's at the childcare centers where I teach next week so that will be fun. You can use toilet paper rolls for your little ghosts but I'm going to use styrophoam cups and little pumpkins for the balls. Should be interesting to say the least. And check out BeeBo's Halloween costume. It's a wolf that howls when you press the nose...

Recently I started teaching Tummy Time, Sibling Classes and Play Classes as Special Addition on Burnet Rd. Pregnant and postpartum moms can find everything needed (nursing wear, breastfeeding gear, gorgeous maternity clothes, books, music, gear for dad and even comfortable recliners and chairs for the baby room) at this boutique. They now have a great video on their home page that talks about all-things-baby and you'll find what I teach on the Classes page. Other classes include Infant CPR, Breastfeeding Basics, Cloth Diapering, Infant Safety and much more. Stop by and tell them Tina sent you!

Cost - $30/family

Is your older toddler or child not thrilled about the new baby on the way? This is a class just for them that focuses on their new role at "teacher" to their new baby.

Your child will feel special and be excited about being a big brother or sister by the end of the class. The whole family will play games, sing songs, learn a few signs, enjoy a story time and make a special craft to take home.

Age of Baby: Expecting to 6 months

Age of Sibling: 2 to 5 years

Note: Dolls will be available if baby is not here yet or can't attend.

Can register on Special Addition website or contact Tina to save your place. Walk-ins welcome.

About Tina

Are you the parent of a baby or toddler and you are frustrated and overwhelmed because you can't understand what your child needs or wants?

Baby Signs® Instructor Tina Cavanaugh is here to help you break the communication barrier! With a few signs, babies as young as seven or eight months are able to express their needs, wants, feelings and even memories. Doing this strengthens the infant/parent bond early and gives your child a jump-start toward speaking and early literacy.

With 10 years of sign language training and five years teaching Baby Signs classes, Tina shows parents how to be amazed and thrilled over and over as their baby or toddler begins to share their world with them. Being involved in a process that builds confidence and good self-esteem early in children is huge and the stories that parents share with Tina about their success is pure joy for her.
