A Note From Tina
New Baby on the Way

Last week I saw lots of new parents and not-so-new parents at Fairytale Threads Consignment Event in Cedar Park. It was really fun to meet new parents and also see some I knew from childcare centers where I teach or from one of my Baby Signs classes or workshops. Two story times finished out the week and a lucky family won the Potty Training Made Easy™ Kit in a drawing. It was surprising to see several parents with a toddler and another one on the way. As one mom put it "This one better be potty trained before the next one comes!" The hardest part of potty training is to get to the point where "going potty" is your child's idea without so much persuading (o.k. begging) on your part!

Then there's the whole adjustment to the new little brother or sister to worry about. Another chance to win a potty training kit is coming up and a 45-min. sibling class is scheduled below also at TOYBRARY so check them both out and let Baby Signs help you deal with those challenges.

Happy Signing,

Tina

About Tina
Are you the parent of a baby or toddler and you are frustrated and overwhelmed because you can't understand what your child needs or wants?

Baby SignsŪ Instructor Tina Cavanaugh is here to help you break the communication barrier! With a few signs, babies as young as seven or eight months are able to express their needs, wants, feelings and even memories. Doing this strengthens the infant/parent bond early and gives your child a jum-start toward speaking and early literacy.

With 10 years of sign language training and five years teaching Baby Signs Tina shows parents how to be amazed and thrilled over and over as their baby or toddler begins to share their world with them. Being involved in a process that builds confidence and good self-esteem early in children is huge and the stories that parents share with Tina about their success is pure joy for her.

The play classes go far beyond just learning a few signs. Parents go home with information about how their baby learns and develops intellectually and emotionally through those all-imporant first few years of their lives. Come join the fun that everyone's talking about!
