A Note From Tina
Happy New Year!

Welcome to 2014 in balmy Austin, Texas! Brrr! It's winter time! Come join us this Wednesday morning at Book People for story time with BeeBo™ the Baby Signs® Bear as we talk about the weather. We'll learn ASL signs for weather along with fun books, songs and activities for all the little ones. So bundle everyone up and come enjoy story time in a warm bookstore.

Two play classes are scheduled to start next week so email or call now to hold your spot. The older toddlers (14 - 24 mths.) are scheduled for Mondays in north Austin and the younger toddlers (8 - 14 mths.) will be on Thursdays closer to downtown. And remember to take advantage of the get/give opportunity below (Baby Signs Crowd Funding Project). You get a nice discount on the class for you and someone who can't afford a class will get one because of you! Everyone wins. There's also a chance to win a class by going to my friend Sally's Best Dressed Kids clothing store for great discounts on brand-named children's clothing. See "Tina Recommends" below about that.

Stay warm and happy signing!

Baby Signs® Crowd Funding Event
(Extra Incentive to Join a Play Class in Austin, TX)

Baby Signs® has created a crowd funding opportunity through Rocket Hub that will help spread the world of signing to everyone. One of the many benefits of signing with a hearing baby or toddler before they can talk is that it greatly enhances the parent/infant bond and gives the child a "step up" toward early speaking and literacy. The founders and BeeBo™ the Baby Signs® Bear are ready to travel and take this wonderful program on the road to train centers, agencies and families who don't always have the income to take advantage of this program.

This is where you come in. Click on the link below to see how you can help and here's an additional incentive for you:

Have you been thinking about taking a play class with your baby or toddler (8 to 24 months) and are ready to sign up? If you make a $100 contribution to this project before it's deadline (1-31-14), Tina will enroll you in a Sign, Say & Play® or More Sign, Say & Play® Class in Austin, TX. Classes are already scheduled and will continue to be throughout the year so jump on this offer now and save $50 on the class price.

Are you a grandparent, aunt or uncle and want to give a family member or friend the gift of Baby Signs? If you do it through this program you'll help someone here in the Austin area as well as a family that could really use this program but can't afford it. You can be a hero by giving twice!

Let Tina know you contributed by emailing babysignsbytinac@gmail.com and she'll hold your place in a future class of your choosing.

About Tina
Are you the parent of a baby or toddler and you are frustrated and overwhelmed because you can't understand what your child needs or wants?

Baby Signs® Instructor Tina Cavanaugh is here to help you break the communication barrier! With a few signs, babies as young as seven or eight months are able to express their needs, wants, feelings and even memories. Doing this strengthens the infant/parent bond early and gives your child a jum-start toward speaking and early literacy.

With 10 years of sign language training and five years teaching Baby Signs Tina shows parents how to be amazed and thrilled over and over as their baby or toddler begins to share their world with them. Being involved in a process that builds confidence and good self-esteem early in children is huge and the stories that parents share with Tina about their success is pure joy for her.

The play classes go far beyond just learning a few signs. Parents go home with information about how their baby learns and develops intellectually and emotionally through those all-imporant first few years of their lives. Come join the fun that everyone's talking about!
