"Hooch" Needs Help!

On Sunday, February 19th, members of the Nassau County SPCA responded to a call in Roslyn Heights of a dog needing medical attention. What they found was "Hooch", a 4 ½ old neutered bulldog, with his eyes badly swollen shut. The Nassau County SPCA immediately recognized that this gentle dog needed medical care. "Hooch" was taken directly to an emergency veterinary hospital where he was treated and made comfortable. It was determined that "Hooch" needs surgery to improve and save his eye sight. The Nassau County SPCA is committed to seeing that "Hooch" receives the treatment that is necessary to help him live a happy life. On President's Day, "Hooch" again visited a veterinarian before going to a foster home, where he will be living with another bulldog until he is ready for surgery. If you are interested in providing a loving home for "Hooch" or a donation to help with his care, please contact
Bob Sowers at 516-THE-SPCA.
