'Tis the Season to Adopt a Loving Pet

Searching for that perfect present for your loved ones this holiday season? Give them the gift of love! Adopt a cuddly cat or dog for FREE during the Town of Hempstead's "Home for the Holidays" pet adoption program, which runs from November 12th through January 15, 2012. Thanks to our generous sponsors, Iams, Manetto Hill Animal Hospital of Plainview and JoMar Grooming of Floral Park, all adopted pets will receive a special gift. Stop by and see the loving cats and dogs that are eager to spend the holidays and the rest of their lives with you.

Complete Your Holiday Wish List...For Free!

As special as adopting a new furry friend is, our shelter is prepared to offer you even more to fulfill your holiday wish list. During the Home for the Holidays program, our shelter is waiving all pet adoption fees! And, we're offering free rabies vaccinations and free spaying or neutering services. To top it off, pets are microchipped free of charge. Our microchipping program places a safe implant in your pet to help lost pets reunite with their owners.

Spread Holiday Joy, Find Your Pet on the Web

Get a sneak peek at your new furry friend with Petfinder. Relax in the comfort of your own home by logging on to the town's website, using the Petfinder link. Then meet and adopt your new furry friend by visiting our Animal Shelter located at 3320 Beltagh Avenue in Wantagh. Adoption hours are Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Call (516) 785-5220 for more information.

A Gift of Love

Nothing beats a pet's abiding love that comes along with the free "Home for The Holidays" adoption program. But there is more! Our three generous sponsors, Manetto Hill Animal Hospital of Plainview, Jo-Mar Pet Grooming and Boarding of Floral Park and Iams will donate gifts for anyone who adopts a pet during the "Home for the Holidays" pet adoption program.

Congratulations to the staff of the Hempstead Animal Shelter on implementing this FREE adoption Program
