Serra Club to visit for Mass
The Serra Club of Indianapolis will have its monthly vocation Mass at Scecina High School at 9:30 a.m. April 27 during school Mass.

The mission of the Serra Club is to foster, affirm, and promote religious vocations to ministry in the Catholic Church by encouraging a culture among the laity that recognizes and supports religious vocations. We work within our parishes and Archdiocese to achieve religious vocations through prayer, active personal involvement, and club-sponsored activities while growing in our faith and fellowship.

The Serra Club is named after St. Junipero Serra, who was canonized in 2015. Pope John Paul II called Serra "the Vocations Arm of the Church."

College Tips
Get a Head Start
Talk to your student about  taking AP or dual-credit classes to get a better idea of the academic rigor ahead of them.  Not only will this prepare them for the college classroom, but also provides them with the opportunity to gain college credit before becoming a student at a university.  Universities will notice your student's hard work, which might set them apart from other applicants.  Ask your student to talk to a counselor and see what their school has to offer.
