Back to School/Meet the Teachers Night

Dear Parents and Guardians,
Greetings! We've had a smooth start to the 2015-2016 school year here at Scecina. It's so nice to have the students back in the building with all of the energy that comes with more than 450 teenagers.
We know you want your child to be successful in school, and we realize that takes support from both school and home. The Scecina staff want to partner with you in your child's education, and working together we can ensure the success of all our students. We cordially invite you to attend Back to School/Meet the Teacher Night on Wednesday, Aug. 26, starting at 7 p.m. in the gymnasium. Please join us for an hour that I believe will set the tone for a successful school year.
We've made some changes to the program for this year. Instead of following your child's class schedule, you may visit the classrooms and meet our teachers at your own pace. Indiana Vocations will be on campus to provide information about services available to our students; Jostens will be here to answer your questions and take orders for class rings; FLAG will be on hand to answer any questions you might have about hosting an international student at Scecina; our Technology Lab will be open with staff available to assist parents in logging into the PortalsPlus; and both the Guidance Center and Bookstore will be open for parents who wish to visit. We will wrap up the evening with an ice cream treat in our newly renovated cafeteria.
We really hope you can attend. It will be a wonderful opportunity for our parents and faculty to meet as we start another great year at Scecina.
