We have much to be grateful for at Scecina: a diverse and gifted community of students; parents who invest time, talent and treasure; capable and caring teachers and staff members, supportive pastors and school principals; generous alumni and friends who support our mission; the Archdiocese of Indianapolis' commitment to provide a Catholic education on the Eastside of Indianapolis; the message of the Gospel; the legacy of Father Thomas Scecina.

Scecina's annual golf outing on July 17 at Ironwood Golf Club was a time of fellowship and fun as a record number of 160 golfers turned out for the event, which benefits the Kenneth R. Leffler Scholarship.
This year's recipient of the Leffler Scholarship is Delaney Rohlman '16, the daughter of 1984 Scecina graduate Janet (Holmes) Rohlman and her husband, Jay. The Kenneth Leffler Scholarship began in 1989 and continues to be funded by the Scecina Memorial High School Alumni Golf Outing. ...Read More
A special state tax credit program in Indiana helps more parents send their children to Scecina and other private schools, while also benefiting the donors who provide the scholarships. In 2009, Indiana passed legislation to create the School Scholarship Tax Credit program. This program rewards the donors with a 50 percent state income tax credit for their donations.

Beth Murphy is the new director of marketing communications at Scecina
Beth Murphy joined Scecina Memorial High School's staff last semester as the Director of Marketing Communications.
Beth spent the past 10 years as a member of the Indianapolis Star Editorial Board. "I'm so glad to have started a new career at Scecina, where I can combine my passions for writing, Catholic ministry and education," she said. "It seems like a perfect fit. Donald Winston '96 recently accepted the position of Vice President, Operational Excellence Group, at the Ardagh Group. Donald joins the company with 14 years of operations management and manufacturing leadership experience within the consumer packaging and automotive industries. Donald has a bachelor's degree in Organizational Leadership & Supervision from Purdue University and a master's degree in Industrial Engineering Technology.
