As a community of faith, we enter this new year recommitted to our mission, which is to motivate our diverse and gifted students "to attain educational excellence, be lifelong learners and live as servant leaders in the inspiring footsteps of Father Thomas Scecina."
Jenny credits Scecina Memorial High School for not only providing an excellent education, but instilling in her an appreciation of discipline, respect and compassion for others, and allowing her to further develop her Catholic faith.
The Scecina Crusader varsity basketball team represented Indiana well in the 2015 Hall of Fame Challenge Cup, winning its game Saturday, Jan. 10, against a tough Southwestern Warriors team of Somerset, Ky. The Hall of Fame Challenge Cup tournament pits top teams from Indiana and Kentucky in a best-of-five series. Scecina was one of only two Indiana teams to win Saturday, as Kentucky captured the Challenge Cup, 3-2.

Third-year Scecina teacher Larissa Biela never dreamed when she was dealing with severe abdominal and back pain a few years ago that her suffering would lead to her starring in a local health network's advertising campaign to help others in pain.
Congratulations to Nicholas and his family on being drawn to win the $3,000 Early Bird Tuition Scholarship. And thank you to the great number of students and families who took advantage of the opportunity to qualify for this scholarship! The Class of 2019 is shaping up to be a great class!
