We understand that one of the unique features of a Scecina education is a personalized, Catholic Christian school environment. This environment fosters acceptance, compassion, and respect for the diversity that is among us.
Listening to the members of our school community and addressing their needs is an important part of this personalized approach to education. Therefore, I am pleased to announce the following improvements and expansions that you can expect for the 2014-2015 school year.

She will attend DePauw University, where she has received the Trustee Award, Alumni Legacy Award, and the Ruth Clark and Phillip Holton Memorial Scholarship.
To provide the student perspective on commencement activities, we invited Sarah Elam '14 to reflect on Scecina Memorial's Baccalaureate Mass. She will attend Marian University as a San Damiano Scholar and a recipient of the Fine Arts Talent Award and Saint Clare Academic Scholarship.

This past spring, several Scecina Memorial students participated in Le Grand Concours, and two Crusaders finished in the top ten at both the State and National levels!
During World War II, Father Thomas Scecina was among the many POWs who lost his life on a Japanese Imperial ship. Today, students at Scecina Memorial remember the bravery of Father Scecina in many ways; one way is by naming the school's rock band after the ship he died on, the Arisan Maru.
