Sometimes, you just need to offer cost-oriented options for customers. The "Imaging Inspirations" (below) demonstrate how simple images can help a customer see what they really want to live with in their yard.
Enjoy!

About... Private Fire... a Healthy Eco Home project...
|
Contractor, Jon Cotham at Healthy Eco Home (located in Ojai, California), has a long-time customer who simply wasn't sure which way to go with a bare gravel, sunken circle area in the back yard. The lack of privacy from the neighbor's windows was an issue as well. Although the budget was not quite nailed down, it could be flexible. Jon realized that if the homeowner could "see" various cost-oriented options, the budget might shift accordingly as well.
What would a Belgard fire pit look like? Or a lower Napoleon Galaxy fireplace? Or a taller customized stucco fireplace? All in keeping with the 1928 Spanish-style stucco home?
What was extra fun and inspiring about this project is Jon and I started out collecting back yard photo ideas that were far more elaborate in terms of Low - Medium - High cost options. You can view the Houzz Ideabook that was our communication tool. Jon also created an Ideabook that his customer could view on his Houzz page (see Healthy Eco Home's Houzz Profile). It was easy for him to add any photos from our shared Ideabook to his for client consideration.
The main point of all this is that, for hardscape, landscape and decorative concrete contractors, Houzz is a great collaborative shared "idea tool" for your business and for your customers!
IMAGING TIP:
"Don't underestimate the power of upselling a project by giving a customer at least three imaging options for them to choose from, at differing installation price levels. (Also take extra photos of other parts of the yard -- not defined in the current project scope -- and make suggestions for future project phases, verbally or, better yet, with images.)"
