We will have a Healing Eucharist service at 7:30 a.m. in the morning which will include the Imposition of Ashes. Then during the day (9 to 12 noon, then 1 to 5 p.m.) the Rector will be administering "Ashes-to-go" in the office. (Note: the Vestry meets for their regular meeting at 7 p.m.)

We are working together on a "Lenten" collaboration with other churches, our new northeast region Episcopal Churches as well as the broader Episcopal Church. We've set up a new Facebook page called LentenWords:A Journey Together. The main idea is that there will be a word everyday posted to all who have friended the page. Then you can take a photo of God happening in your life perhaps around the meaning of the word. Post it on the page. Could be fun. Definitely an experiment. And an inspiration to look! If you would like a "hard copy" of the words that we'll be putting out for Lent here is our "lenten spiral" of the words for each day! You can print it and pray it that way.

A "Prayer-Net" will be hanging in our Great Hall starting Feb. 14 for you to attach your Lenten prayers (represented by lengths of yarn). Who, What are your concerns at this time? Put up a bit of yarn. God is always aware and listening. This is something you can do at home also. Here is another link for home activities related to Ash Wednesday (tomorrow) which includes building an outdoor fire!
