TeenLeaders
Teen Program starting in September: We are looking for folks who have a special sense of engagement with teens and are willing to do a lot of listening..... Kim Bergandahl has volunteered as a leader for Rite-13 (grades 6-7). And we are talking with one more. But we need a few more. Christine Carter will continue as a "point person" to participate in the work and prep new leaders. The upcoming Rite-13ers may very well need more support to become active.

Safe Church Training for all Teen Leaders that have not had it will be held at Christ Church on Saturday, Oct. 3rd.

Special Mission Outreach
PID trip to Guatemala leaving early January of 2016. 5-8 folks already signed up. It costs about $1300 (includes airfare from Boston, etc.). We're thinking of $600 a person church subsidy from the Special Mission. Can you do $700? This is a medical and building project mission trip. Here is the website! Here is a PDF about the base price before airfare and some general instructions. You will need inoculations for Guatemala. Our trip is not yet posted on the Partners in Development website.

Spirituality Experiments.... with Oscar Brockmeyer.
Group Spiritual Guidance for those within and beyond the church. Here is an overview. Resumes in the fall!

Vine and Branches "Directory" Project
The fifth-sixth grade (Christine & Philippa) started a vine and branches art-piece with the support of Judy Busse and Cyndi Sturni (our artists). It's right in the hallway on the way to the church. We'll put up household photos all along the painted vine. Jim Goodwin will be informally taking photos but feel free to send in a Selfie with your family to this email address! Here's the progress:

Flowers
Sign Up Master List is posted to the left of the office door. You can sign up there, call the office (928-7026) or respond to this email to Make a Memorial or a Thanksgiving for a loved one ($30/Sunday). We are in the season after Pentecost: Flower donations are encouraged. There are always applications for flowers in the back of the church ($30).

Vestry Notes
Dave's vacation starts on July 1st. No July Vestry meeting. August meeting postponed to the 19th!

Buildings and Grounds
Our current plan is to repair the floor in the kitchen around the dishwasher over the summer as a volunteer initiative (Rich DiBonaventura). We have some roofing work to do where there was winter damage on the church roof outside the Sacristy. The Foyer has come down. Jim Houghton has been able to exclude the bats from the church. Other items still outstanding include rotten window sills in the office building and fixing the American flag that has gotten "stuck" again on the pine tree. Furnaces have been cleaned for next fall's season.

Shawl Ministry:
Blessed shawls on the back table in church (fill out the log book). We have had a number of folks respond with thanks after receiving one of the shawls. Rebecca Patenaude, Coordinator

Outreach....  Next cooking for Community Kitchen on July 27th at the 1st Congregational Church of Woodstock (the Hill Church). Contact Pauline Phillips at Christ Church. CSO Committee meets periodically to recommend grants.
Extras! (When we have them!)
