One way to get to know folks in the church and to find a "place to land" if you're a visitor or newer member is to come to Coffee Hour. This is our connection-time at Christ Church. A second way is to make an appointment with the Rector..... or join an organization.... our church email is found below. Our possibly sign up for an online daily message. Here are a few samples:

It's Epiphany season and you can participate by donating flowers that you purchase on your own or by signing up to have them purchased for you. If you sign up during the summer you can bring in flowers from your garden and leave them in vases on Saturday morning by the sacristy door and we can arrange them!

Church School Notes....
ChurchSchool

The Church School sends out a "Holy High-Five!" to Fiona Rigney for her participation in the Epiphany Lego Workshop last Sunday! Fiona was reluctant to engage in this workshop at first, but she demonstrated character by giving it a try anyhow and enjoyed the camaraderie with her peers. She reminds us that "community" can help us overcome obstacles! *Each Sunday, we welcome volunteers to suggest a "Holy High-Five!" recipient (pre-K through 6) for recognition of doing something positive for our Church School Community.

Thanks go out to our recent workshop leaders; Lisa & Paul Humphries (Legos) and Brenda Chubbuck and Caroline Sloat (Cooking), and to our shepherds. Without volunteers, our program could not operate!

This Sunday, we will have a day of Bible Jeopardy and Trivia games, run by our 5th and 6th grade group for 1st through 4th graders! This will be a time to learn, get our noses into the Bible a little, and have FUN!!! We need as many youth in attendance as possible...We look forward to seeing you all. The Godly Play group will wonder about "The Parable of the Sower".

Next week (Feb. 15), we will begin our Lenten curriculum focused on Heifer International, including monetary outreach and a Living Market fundraiser. ( LOTS more information will be coming your way soon!) We will also have a Heifer-created rotational workshop cycle, and are looking for leaders who can give just two Sundays (2/22-3/22) for the following workshops: Science, Puppetry, and Art. We can email a link to the curriculum if you're interested... Please see one of us ASAP

February 22 will be a special "Scout Sunday" for Church First! Any Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts at all levels, as well as leaders and volunteers, will be honored and are invited to wear their uniforms to church for 10:15. All will process in and be seated up front for pledging the flag, and reciting their group's promise/motto. Godly Play and the Nursery will operate on their usual schedule that day, without Children's Chapel time. Leaders, shepherds, and students in grades 1-6 will begin their Heifer workshops and activities immediately after the service.

Housekeeping:

Remember our Church School outreach by collecting food and toiletry items for ACCESS/Daily Bread.  The children are especially proud when it takes several of them to "haul" our heavily laden basket up the aisle in church. A copy of a needs list can also be found HERE

Church School Registration Link is to the Right.
