Greetings!

I hope this Newsletter reaches you in good spirits even if like me you are feeling a bit of a chill and wondering if Spring will ever truly arrive!

At our last Wonder Women in Action event,we interviewed

Nathalie Molina Nino on the topic "Overcoming Obstacles."

Nathalie's input and answers to questions were chockfull of valuable insights and led to greater conversations and positive actions by those most inspired that evening.

One of the best features of the interview segment of the

Wonder Women in Action! events (filmed live) is the special quality of the setting we create.

Before the interview begins, two women in the audience share something of value about themselves in what is referred to as our Audience Member Spotlight. This is followed by our interview where depending on its relevance I share my perspective drawn from personal life experiences. In the Q&A segment two audience members are invited to not only ask a question but to become guest interviewers as they occupy my seat.I believe this format is very empowering to all present and from the outpouring of positive feedback, I know that our audience members agree. Please click on our "Overcoming Obstacles"collage above to view and LIKE the album.

Sexual Assault & Power and Control

Who really cares that April is Sexual Assault Awareness month?

I do.

So do you, because you or someone you know has lived through it, as well as less fortunate individuals who are no longer here to speak out but will hopefully be remembered by someone. Most of us are aware that every 1-2 minutes on average a female over the age of 12 is assaulted worldwide. She is left with emotional scars long after the physical ones have worn off.

When we talk about countries as Super Powers it is a shame that the premise for this level of superiority is not based on kindness, compassion, integrity and creating unity. Having the most power and control stands out to me as the key attributes that seemingly "advanced" countries care about in general. It is my personal belief that we live in a society where the majority of time spent is focused on those individual and collective actions that produce the greatest level of power and control over others. What a shame.

Most individuals who have been assaulted feel ashamed and somehow responsible for that act of unkindness placed upon them. I used to be one of these people KINDLY READ ON
