2016 BRINGS AN EXCITING CHANGE FOR BUSINESS IN PENFIELD!

During the last quarter of 2015, leaders of the Penfield Business Association met with leaders of the Penfield Chamber of Commerce to discuss combining the two organizations. It was decided that the Penfield Chamber of Commerce would no longer operate as a separate organization and would join the Penfield Business Association, which has been successfully serving the Penfield business community for more than 20 years, since 1992.
To recognize this combined strength and consolidation of business resources and talent, the Penfield Business Association will change its name to the Penfield Business Chamber in the first quarter of 2016. This will require a majority vote of the current (2015) membership of the Penfield Business Association. 2015 member businesses of the Penfield Business Association should expect a separate email to arrive this week, to the primary member of record for each business, that will contain a link to vote on the name change. Please respond promptly so that preparations can be made to affect the name change in a timely fashion.
In the meantime, all renewals and new memberships should continue to be made online at www.penfieldbusiness.org and checks should continue to be made payable to the Penfield Business Association.

It's 1952: America's on the verge of the H-bomb, Dwight Eisenhower's on the campaign trail, and I Love Lucy's on Monday nights. Meanwhile, Senator Joe McCarthy's daughter just got engaged to a Soviet spy, and Boston detective Maggie Pelletier has to find out who dumped the dead guy in the Harbor-or else lose out on a honeymoon in Havana. A blunt-nosed, sharp-eyed look at love and tying (and untying, and retying) the knot. The show will be presented as a "radio play" on Saturday, February 20 at 2:00 pm. FREE ADMISSION; donations heartily accepted.
ALSO....Mark your calendars for February 22 and 23 - Penfield Players is holding auditions for their Spring Melodrama - "Sneakypete Underhand's Devious Dealings" by Billy St. John. COMMITTEE VOLUNTEERS WANTED
Are you looking for a way to give back to your business community? Consider joining one of our committees to help with one of many aspects of running your local business association.
The work of the PBA is accomplished through the dedication and hard work of committees formed to manage different projects throughout the year. As with all volunteer organizations, our success depends largely on the willingness of our membership to participate on these committees and make things happen. If you would like to volunteer to work on a specific committee that could benefit from your time and skill-set, contact us and we will connect you with the Committee Chair.
Check out the list of currently active committees, to see how your experience and expertise would fit in, on our website.

DID YOU KNOW?
That you can add Member-2-Member Deals to your directory listing on our website using your Member Center login. You can even change them from time to time.
Same for Community Hot Deals - you control the deal, when it's offered, what is offered, and you can change it at any time. You can even schedule a bunch of them to appear and disappear at certain times without having to remember to go back into the system. The deals show up on your directory listing as well as the links to Hot Deals throughout our website.
If you have forgotten your Member Center login or password, simply go to the Member Center link and click on "Forgot Password". An email will be sent to you with your password or a link to reset your password.
All of this is a FREE ADVERTISING benefit to you as a member of the PBA. And who doesn't like free???
If you need assistance with the Member Center at any time, simply email or call us and we will have someone contact you to help. We even make on-site training visits, just ask!
