The PBA business meeting will begin promptly at 7:30am followed by Ray's presentation at 7:45am. Event will conclude by 8:30am. Reservations are required in advance.

Penfield Symphony Orchestra's "Very Special Guests" Concert
February 23rd at 7:30pm Penfield High School Auditorium
The third concert of the PSO's 59th season is sponsored by Penfield's Charles Finney School. It will feature Juliana Athayde (Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra's Concertmaster) and Erik Behr (Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra's Principal Oboe) in the Baroque masterpiece "Concerto in C minor for Violin and Oboe."
Opening with Rossini's exciting "Overture to La Cenerentola," the concert will conclude with Beethoven's magnificent Symphony No. 8 in F major.
A reception will follow the concert, so audience members will be able to meet our soloists and musicians. Tickets are $14 for adults and $12 for seniors, and should be ordered as soon as possible, since this concert may be a sell-out with these stellar performers.
Students of any age with student i.d. may attend the concert free, so this is an ideal opportunity to bring the family along for an evening of classical entertainment.

SIGN UP FOR A COMMITTEE
The work of the PBA is accomplished through the dedication and hard work of committees formed to manage different projects throughout the year. As with all volunteer organizations, our success depends largely on the willingness of our membership to participate on these committees and make things happen. If you would like to volunteer to work on a specific committee that could benefit from your time and skill-set, contact us and we will connect you with the Committee Chair.
Here are some of the committees that could use your help:
Business of the Month Reviews nominations, selects a business to be recognized each month, contacts and interviews the business, and writes the business summary for the website, local media, and newsletter. Prepares the award certificate and manages the outdoor signage.
Lunch Bunch Reviews member businesses for appropriate venues, contacts and makes arrangements with the business, promotes the event on the website, receives RSVPs and informs the business of number of guests, takes photos during lunch, follows-up with business afterwards.
Membership Actively recruits new businesses through personal visits and informing businesses of the value of membership, oversees the renewal process each year, works with Marketing to develop appropriate benefit materials, sends welcome packages and inputs new member data into database, receives and responds to membership inquiries.
Programs Develops plans for workshops, networking events, and major events throughout the year - including the assignment of subcommittees as needed. Prepares yearly calendar, identifies and arranges speakers and host venues, coordinates refreshments/meals, writes promotional material for website, media and newsletters, solicits and coordinates sponsorships and registration, follows-up with speakers and venues after the events.
Public Relations/Marketing Reviews all materials developed by committees, manages email, social media and website communication, gathers material for and produces monthly newsletter, issues press releases to media, coordinates print production of promotional materials. Ensures consistent branding, image and messaging.
RBA & U.S. Chamber Alliance Coordinates with Rochester Business Alliance (RBA) through attendance at monthly meetings, selects events and manages RSVP communication, gathers and disseminates U.S. Chamber information of value to our membership.
Technology Manages all technical aspects of the database, website, email, PayPal and Constant Contact accounts to ensure proper functioning and communication between all systems. Educates members on how to use the Member Center on the website.
Town Liaison Meets monthly with the Town Planning Board to stay informed of issues of concern to our membership, acts as a general steward for business development in the Penfield area and an advocate to member businesses with concerns, prepares a monthly report for the website.
