Help Us Nominate the Business of the Month

Each month, the PBA Business of the Month committee selects a member business that is a positive influence and actively involved in building and strengthening our community. Some examples of how previous Business of the Month recipients have made a difference in our community are:

  • Serving as a volunteer on a Board of Directors for a charitable or other organization
  • Donating time and resources to various church groups, Penfield school programs or teams, community programs, etc.
  • Volunteering for, assisting or organizing fundraisers for not-for-profit entities in the area
These are only a few examples of how Penfield businesses are making a difference. If you know of a member business that is actively involved in our community, send us an email nominating them for this award. Tell us a little bit about them and what they do for the community and we'll take it from there.

3rd Annual PBA Golf Tournament to Benefit Shepherd Home, Sponsored by Family First Federal Credit Union

2013GolfTourney The weather held out for us and a record-breaking crowd joined us for our 3rd Annual Golf Tournament.

Special thanks to our many sponsors, friends and companies who donated goods, services and prizes for our prize auction and fantastic golfer bags.

Our Title sponsor, for the third year in a row, was Family First Federal Credit Union. Sponsoring our golfer carts was Frontier Communications, and the Hole-in-One sponsor was Dick Ide Family of Dealerships who sent over three beautiful cars as incentive on the course. Don's Original Restaurant & Pub and Penfield Country Club sponsored our delicious lunch buffet.

The first place tournament winners in the men's category were Larry Bobby, Scott Lurther, Paul Beldham and Brian Klos. The first place mixed foursome went to Ann Ras, Gary Ras, Christopher Bayer and Timothy Bayer. There were no women's foursomes this year....looks like an opportunity for all you women golfers out there next year!

We are still tallying the numbers and putting finishing touches on plans for next year. Will send along a note via email when we have a save-the-date and the good news to share. In the meantime, check out more photos on our facebook page or on our website.

Message from the PBA Board of Directors

PBA Event Reservation Payment Notice

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your incredible support in attending our events! We appreciate your enthusiasm and participation in our workshops, networking and community events.

In the past, the PBA has absorbed any expense for members who registered for events but were unable to attend for various reasons. Unfortunately the cost for holding events has increased and it has become necessary for us to change this practice. Going forward, the PBA will need to charge you for any reservation you are unable to fulfill unless we receive a cancellation notice 48 hours prior to the event. We are sensitive to the fact that last minute schedule challenges occur and we encourage you to send a substitute in your place if you find yourself unable to attend.

For all PBA meetings requiring reservations and a meeting fee, we have always extended a "pay at the door" option to our members and guests and will continue to do so. We also offer the option to pay by credit/debit card or PayPal on the PBA website.

Again, thank you for your tremendous support! We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events!
