Penfield Rotary, Paychex and Family First Federal Credit Union to Honor Outstanding Employees Through April 5th Penfield Rotarians Linda Kohl, Marie Cinti, Shannon Staub, Jack Best and Iveth Reynolds are planning to honor employees of Penfield businesses who provide outstanding customer service at a recognition luncheon on April 16, 2013 at Shadow Lake Golf Club. Co-sponsored by Paychex and Family First Federal Credit Union, this Second Annual "Service Above Self Recognition" luncheon is designed to recognize employees of businesses, professional offices, organizations, schools and churches that service the Penfield community.
Each entity can name one of its employees. Up to 12 nominees will be recognized for their outstanding employee excellence. Each will receive a plaque and a certificate of recognition. There is no cost to name an employee. The employee will be the guest of Penfield Rotary at the recognition luncheon. Friends and colleagues of the nominees are invited to join them for lunch ($15) that day.

Small Business Expo & Networking Event Wednesday April 10th Burgundy Basin, 1361 Marsh Road, Pittsford
5:00pm - 8:00pm The Pittsford Chamber of Commerce's Third Annual Small Business Expo, sponsored by The Bird House, is a chance for area businesses to showcase what they can provide for the local community. Many of the exhibitors will be members of the Pittsford Chamber, however, other area businesses are invited to participate and gain exposure for their business. Non-member exhibitor fees are $75 and there are sponsorship opportunties available as well. Attendance at the event is free and open to the public. Free Business Owner Call: Update on the New Health Care Law Thursday April 18th 1:00pm - 2:00pm Small Business Majority is pleased to present the latest in its Business Leader Briefing series for small business owners. This FREE call will feature a presentation by leading healthcare experts from the U.S. Small Business Administration and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Together they will give an update on efforts to implement provisions of the Affordable Care Act and discuss ways that small business owners will be affected by the law.

Penfield Varsity Boys Soccer Team Seeks Corporate Sponsors Through May 1st With recent cuts in state funding for extracurricular school programs, more and more school sports programs for students find themselves seeking corporate sponsors to offset the costs of running these programs and ensuring that all students who wish to participate, can. These programs are so important on so many different levels, least of all to counter the obesity problem in the U.S., but also the values team membership instill in our young children.
The Penfield Varsity Boys Soccer Team is offering an opportunity for businesses to have their logo displayed on three 4 x 16 foot banners that will be displayed at all home games (approximately 10 of them) during the fall 2013 season.
