Member Center Tutorial
Penfield Country Club, 1784 Jackson Road
7:30am - 10:00am
By now you've heard about the new PBA website and its exclusive Member Center login that lets members do lots of free marketing and advertising things. Maybe you've tried it, but would like an in-depth tutorial, or maybe you don't know where to start and would like someone to show you around. Maybe you would just like the opportunity to ask a few questions and be shown the answers in person. Whatever it is you need, we're here to help you understand and grow your business using these new tools. Join us for a hands-on demonstration. We will walk step-by-step through the Member Center, showing you how to update your business listing, add employees to your membership and control their permission settings, add a Community Hot Deal, add a Member-2-Member Deal, and post a job listing. We'll also show you how to monitor visitor traffic to your business listing or deal offerings. Bring your laptop, iPad or tablet so you can follow along, or just watch and take notes.
Free for all members, advance registration is required to ensure seating.

PBA BOARD MEMBER CHOSEN AS BUSINESS PERSON OF THE YEAR
PBA Board Member Laurie Klein, owner of Your Local Phone Books, was recently chosen as Business Person of the Year by the Webster Chamber of Commerce. Mrs. Klein's business brings local businesses and shoppers together by publishing annual community telephone directories serving the Penfield, Webster and Fairport communities. In addition to running her business, Laurie finds the time to give back to all three communities by serving in leadership roles on their respective Business Associations and Chambers of Commerce, as well as volunteering her time to several local non-profits and youth programs. Congratulations Laurie, we're proud to have you on our Board of Directors and wish you a very successful 2013.
HOLIDAY PARTY PROCEEDS BUILD SHELVES FOR PENFIELD ECUMENICAL FOOD SHELF
With roughly $300 in proceeds from our Holiday Party to share with the Penfield Ecumenical Food Shelf, we called to find out if they needed something purchased or if they would prefer the cash donation. Instead, they said they could really use some shelves to store the food but the space in their basement was rather unusual. So PBA Board Members Jeff Chapman and Paul Dwyer assessed the space, did the lumber shopping and spent a recent Saturday afternoon building custom shelves to fit their needs. Many thanks to everyone who came to the Holiday Party and contributed, the funds were wisely spent.

Message from the PBA Board of Directors |
PBA Event Reservation Payment Notice
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your incredible support in attending our events! We appreciate your enthusiasm and participation in our workshops, networking and community events.
In the past, the PBA has absorbed any expense for members who registered for events but were unable to attend for various reasons. Unfortunately the cost for holding events has increased and it has become necessary for us to change this practice. Going forward, the PBA will need to charge you for any reservation you are unable to fulfill unless we receive a cancellation notice 48 hours prior to the event. We are sensitive to the fact that last minute schedule challenges occur and we encourage you to send a substitute in your place if you find yourself unable to attend.
For all PBA meetings requiring reservations and a meeting fee, we have always extended a "pay at the door" option to our members and guests and will continue to do so. We also offer the option to pay by credit/debit card or PayPal on the PBA website.
Again, thank you for your tremendous support! We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events!
