4 Ways to Get Healthy and Feel Great this Year There's a reason why so many New Year's resolutions have long focused on getting healthy. Health is important and what better way to start out-and finish-the new year? Whether you're pregnant or have a little one already, now is the time to start exercising and eating better. Here are a few ways to get you on the right track. |
The Secret to Easy, Healthy Family Dinners Whether it's busy schedules that have you resorting to pick up pre-made unhealthy meals for dinner or a picky eater that simply refuses to indulge in anything green, it can be a real challenge to provide healthy dinner options that everyone will eat all week long. So if you don't own a grater, get one! It's one of the easiest ways to ensure that the family gets the nutrition they need everyday (without spending hours in the kitchen!). This method cuts down the time you'll need to spend chopping and also allows you to select the shredding size (smaller the better for pickiest of eaters). Try these dinner ideas and tweak as needed for your family. |
Baby Nurse Question: My six-month-old baby has dry skin, which seems to be getting worse. I apply lots of moisturizer after his bath each day but it is not helping. What can I do? A. This is such a common issue with babies, especially in areas of the country that experience particularly cold temperatures. Make baby a little more comfortable in his skin by taking these steps. |

Baby Nurse Tip: Sleep Disruptions Can Be Curbed!
When babies older than three months get sick, are teething or experience a change in routine or environment, sometimes their usually solid nighttime sleep pattern can get disrupted.
Babies need a lot of sleep and once they're suddenly deprived of it, their bodies start enabling them to awaken far more easily. To get back on track, simply try putting baby to bed five or ten minutes earlier each night for a few weeks. The more sleep they end up getting, the likelihood they'll fall into a restful, rather than restless night's sleep. Get more pregnancy and baby care tips in The Baby Nurse Bible.

Shed Light on Your Baby Blues
Baby blues can occur anytime throughout the year, but becoming a new mom in the winter can make some feel particularly isolate due to the shorter, darker days, and weather that may make going outdoors often enough difficult. Give the following a try to combat these feelings.
