The public has several opportunities to stay informed of LPS Board of Education happenings. Following, are methods in which monthly Board meetings can be viewed.
Channel 18 Coverage
The Liberty Public Schools Cable Television Channel, KLPS-TV Channel 18, records each Board meeting that takes place on the third Monday of each month and replays the meeting for approximately one week, usually beginning the Thursday following the regularly-scheduled meeting. They will be shown daily at 8 a.m. Households need to have Time Warner Cable service to receive Channel 18 programming.
In addition, all meetings are loaded onto the LPS YouTube Channel and are available for viewing in the days following each meeting. The LPS YouTube Channel may be accessed by clicking here.

The Liberty High School dance team, the Sapphires, were congratulated for winning their sixth state championship on February 20, 2016 in Kansas City. The team won 1st place in the Dance category and 1st place in the Pom category which allowed them to secure the overall high point score and state championship title. In addition, this group of ladies brought home the All-Academic Championship title with a team grade point average of 3.841. Congratulations to this squad and to Head Coach Maggie Willis and Assistant Coach Kristen Bosiljevac!
