The Liberty Public Schools Board of Education met for its regular meeting on Monday, November 16, 2015.  Following, is a recap of that meeting:
Meeting Highlights
LHS Cheer Recognized for State Title
The Liberty High School varsity cheerleading team was recognized by the Board for their recent state cheerleading championship in Columbia, MO.  This is the 7th consecutive year the LHS cheerleaders have brought the championship trophy back to Liberty with them. The squad is coached by Brenda Moats and assisted by Daisy King and Madison Young.  Way to go ladies!
Board Business
2014-2015 Audit Report Approved
The Board approved the 2014-2015 district audit conducted by Westbrook and Company. The Board received a thorough report from Diana Closterman at Monday's meeting. Overall, LPS received an extremely favorable 2014-2015 audit. To view the complete, submitted document, click here.

Next Board Meeting Scheduled for Monday, Dec. 21

The Board will hold its next regular meeting on Monday, December 21, at the District Administration Center. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m.

Ways to Stay Informed on Board Happenings

The public has several opportunities to stay informed of LPS Board of Education happenings. Following, are methods in which monthly Board meetings can be viewed.

 

Channel 18 Coverage

The Liberty Public Schools Cable Television Channel, KLPS-TV Channel 18, records each Board meeting that takes place on the third Monday of each month and replays the meeting for approximately one week, usually beginning the Thursday following the regularly-scheduled meeting. They will be shown daily at 8 a.m.  Households need to have Time Warner Cable service to receive Channel 18 programming.
