A Message From Dr. Tucker

Hope you and your family have had an enjoyable summer! Nearly 5,000 students participated in summer learning opportunities for acceleration, remediation, and credit recovery, as well as participation in a variety of camps.

We look forward to students returning to classes in the coming days to begin the 2015-2016 school year. Tuesday, August 18, we will welcome over 12,000 students to our district for the first day of classes. Our staff has been working hard to ensure schools and classrooms are ready. Summer construction projects at Liberty High School and Liberty North High School are nearing completion. Many of our teachers and administrators have taken graduate courses and participated in professional learning opportunities. Continued integration of technology throughout the district, and expansion of Project Lead The Way (PLTW) at the elementary level, will equip students with the technology and critical thinking skills needed to be successful in our changing society.

Please take a moment to read the important information provided in our weekly e-newsletter, QuickNews. This publication is the primary source of communication used to keep our district family up-to-date. If you know someone who may be interested in receiving QuickNews, we encourage you to direct them to our District website. Registration is also available by clicking here.

Thank you for helping make Liberty Public Schools a great place for students to learn and grow. We look forward to engaging our families and our community in meeting the needs of our learners. Feel free to contact District administration with your questions or suggestions.

Sincerely,

Dr. M. Jeremy Tucker

Superintendent of Schools
