Boman Named Shoal Creek Elementary Principal
The Liberty Public Schools Board of Education has appointed Christy Boman to be the next principal of Shoal Creek Elementary.
Boman has been the assistant principal at Shoal Creek for the past five years. Prior to this position, she was a 4th grade teacher at Shoal Creek for five years and instructional coach at Lillian Schumacher. Before moving to Liberty, Boman taught 3rd grade in Carthage, MO. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Pittsburg State University and a Master's Degree in School Leadership from Baker University.
"Christy has proven success as a leader in her tenure as assistant principal at Shoal Creek," said LPS Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources Dr. Robert Vogelaar. "Her appointment will allow for a seamless transition for both staff and parents at Shoal Creek, and we are confident she will continue all of the great things taking place there."
Mrs. Boman's husband, Joe, is a teacher at South Valley Middle School and a coach at Liberty North High School. They have three children - Katlyn is a freshman at Liberty North, Peyton is in 7th grade at South Valley Middle School, and Elizabeth is in 3rd grade at Shoal Creek.
