- Use anti-virus and anti-phishing software on your computer to prevent viruses and phishing scams, and protect your personal information.
- While shopping, ALWAYS verify that you are on a safe site by looking for the https:// in the URL field.
- Be very cautious of any links that come your way via E-mail, social media and advertisements, and delete/avoid anything that looks suspicious or too good to be true.
- Use protected payments (like your credit card) and only provide your payment information under a secure, password protected network. Online shopping through the Public WiFi at your local coffee shop is a no-no!

LEVERAGE YOUR TAX DOLLARS USING SECTION 179!

Section 179 of the IRS tax code is a great opportunity for your successful business to shelter its tax dollars and maximize your purchasing power! Small businesses can utilize Section 179 to receive an entire depreciation deduction (on purchased or leased equipment) in 1 year rather than a small amount over the asset's useful life. END PROCRASTINATION WITH TAKE A FIVE

Sometimes a break from a project can turn into procrastination, and a usual 5 minute web browsing session turns into 30 minutes of who knows what! I stumbled upon this interesting article from AddictiveTips about a web app called Take a five. Basically, you go to the Take a five website, select your break time, and start browsing! You must keep the original Take a five tab open as this is the timer and once the timer runs out, your browsing tab is closed without warning. Goodbye procrastination, hello productivity! |
