It's truly breathtaking! It goes beyond the massive exposure of confidential and personal information. The malicious attack not only stole data, it also wiped computers and servers. This is always the nightmare scenario but it's surprisingly uncommon. Sony will only be able to recover lost data if they have a good backup system. They will only be able to recover their systems in a reasonable time frame if they have a good disaster recovery system. They will only stem the loss if they have proper insurance. You may not be a target for the same reasons Sony was a target. But make no mistake - you are a target! Get educated. Be prepared. Be ready to respond. |
