TOBIN SOLUTIONS CELEBRATES 18 YEARS!
|
Eighteen years ago, I followed my passion for technology and started Tobin Solutions from my dining room table. Back then I called it Techno*Spec and changed the name a few years later. For those that don't know, Tobin is my middle name!
I'm so fortunate to have a company and team I love working for every day! We have fantastic customers and we've developed awesome relationships over the years. I wish to thank everyone that's been a part of this amazing ride and l look forward to many more years of fun and service.

Always-Be-Checking your important online accounts for suspicious or unusual activity. Week after week there are new security breaches disclosed by major retailers and other online systems. After a breach is discovered and disclosed, we often find out about the scope of the problem including how many accounts and what type of sensitive information was leaked. Even more startling is the length of time the systems were compromised.
GoodWill Industries recently disclosed that its third-party payment vendor had a breach of credit and debit cards and that the breach had been going for over 18 months!
The lesson here is clear - watch your statements and activity and report any issues. Fraud is rampant.

MICROSOFT WORD TIP - USING TEMPLATES
|
In Word, a template contains standard text and formatting as a basis for new documents. You can use templates for letterhead, forms or contracts. When you open a new document based on the template, all the boilerplate information is in place and ready to use. To create a template document, do the following:
- Create a new document that includes all of the text, formatting and images you want in future documents.
- Press F12. Word displays the Save As dialog box.
- In the Save as Type pull-down list, choose Word Template or, if your template will contain macros, Word Macro-Enabled Template. This ensures your document is saved as a template.
- Enter a new name for your template and select where it should be saved.
- Click on Save.
To create your new document based on the template, simply double-click your template and you'll see that Word opens up a new blank document that contains all the boilerplate text you entered in step 1. Save this new document as you do normally. In the future, if you want to edit the original template, right click the file and choose Edit.
