Passwords - Some Advice and a Solution

Passwords for your digital life are a fact of life.  The more we move our world to the web, the more passwords we seem to have.  Sometimes we take shortcuts to avoid complexity by using simple passwords or by using the same password for multiple, or EVEN ALL, websites.  These shortcuts can lead to hacks and data breaches.

Various solutions for a single secure sign-on are in the works but complete adoption of this technology across your online world is years away.

Until then, a nice solution is called LASTPASS.COM.  It is a free service that manages all of your passwords and other confidential information.  It's incredibly secure - they've really thought it through.  You just need to remember one good password and then you can get access to the rest of your information.  Integration with smartphones and web browsers makes it simple to use.  A paid version ($12 per year) has some other nice features like the ability to share a password with someone else.  And you can store information from credit cards and your driver's license and passport.  This is a highly recommended solution.
