Greetings from the east.

Brothers,

This month we welcome two new brothers to the northeast corner. What a joy it is to see a man begin as masonic journey, and to see the brethren come together to put on excellent degree work.

Jackson Lodge No. 17 had excellent attendance at our annual school of instruction held in Brooklyn the last week of January. At this meeting we received excellent instruction in many areas of etiquette and protocol. The venue was splendid, Brooklyn Lodge has remodeled their lodge room and it is very wonderfully adorned.

Brothers if you have not visited your lodge in a while, please drop us a line and let us know how you're doing. If you need a ride to lodge you need only call to ask, we will look forward to meeting you on the level and seeing you again.

We have many candidates for masonry and the next few months will be busy.  As we initiate, pass and raise these new brothers, they need to see you on the sideline supporting them.

Fraternal regards,

Adam W. Wygant

Masonic Mentoring and Renewal Training Program in Michigan Center, Hosted by Jackson Lodge # 17!

The Masonic Mentoring and Renewal Training Program that will take place on February 7th from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM will be held at the Michigan Center Masonic Temple.

The training program will focus on the Mentoring Program, from the Manual to the Membership Development System, (MDS or Mentor Portal Program) and how the concepts of Masonic Mentoring can lead to a more fulfilling Masonic experience for our new members.  We also will learn about programs and products that will assist in membership retention and long term planning.

No meal will be served and the class is only 2 hours long.  It will be a great evening for you, and your lodge.  It is specifically designed for Lodge Mentors, Senior and Junior Wardens and others that are concerned about your membership and making sure they find what they're looking for.  There is no cost by reservations are required.

Please don't miss it.

To All Of The Masonic Bodies That Use
The Jackson-Coolidge Masonic Center

I have been looking into getting rid of the chairs in the Blue Room as they are very uncomfortable to sit in and many have complained about them.

We would like to replace them with used Church Pews. I have found some that are in Zeeland, Michigan and being sold by a company that deals in used church furniture. The cost of the pews (padded in a light blue fabric), which is fitting in with the Blue Room theme. The cost is $275.00 for each 18 ft. pew. It would be great if the Brothers and Sisters that can afford it provide a pew. At this time we (The Temple Board) cannot afford to purchase them.

Several of the bodies have donated funds towards the purchase as well as some individuals who have purchased a single pew. If purchased by a member we will put an engraved plate on the pew with the name and or in dedication to a past member, etc.

Please contact the Building Manager, George M. Otis at 517-262-9862 or email me at gmotis@sbcglobal.net.

Thank you for all that you have done for us in the past

SPECIAL MONETARY APPEAL

To All The Brethren of Jackson Lodge 17 and Masonic Bodies.

WE STILL NEED YOUR HELP!!!

Again we find ourselves asking for assistance in paying off the loan that we owe to Jackson Lodge 17.

The loan was made to help pay off what the Temple Board used to

cover the cost of the Massive Clean-up that was done way back in January, 2011.

While we did get some money from the bodies and individuals, it was only $7,400.00 and we still owe more than $72,600.00

PLEASE, contribute as liberally as you can without material injury to yourself or family!

Thank you!
