Interweave Knits
Winter 2016

I have found Interweave Knits to be hit-or-miss in the past year or two, but this issue is a keeper! A full slate of delicately textured and cabled pullovers are vying for my-future-favourite-sweater status, and the Austrian twisted-stitch mittens and socks just might (gasp) make you wish for snow.

You Had Me At Swarovski

You may have seen the buzz online, but now see the sparkles in person as Urban Yarns launches the Rowan Yarns & Swarovski Crystal partnership in Vancouver, BC!

You are cordially invited to an evening of sparkling wine and sparkling garments in celebration of the new Rowan Swarovski pattern collections and products:

Friday November the 13th, 2015

Please dress how you are most comfortable; there will be evening dresses and comfy sweaters and everything in between!

All products will be available for sale in-store from the beginning of the event onwards, Point Grey location only. A variety of sample garments will be on display, knit and crocheted by our own staff. There is nothing like seeing these garments and crystals in person!

Choose-Your-Own Adventure:
Amy Herzog "Options KAL"

As of press time, this Knit Along has already begun (Oct. 19 through mid-December), but it is so customizable and versitile (and affordable!) that you will want to make your version of this pattern no matter the date. Amy Herzog has designed a choose-your-own adventure in Rowan Pure Wool Superwash DK, including mixing and matching among:

cardigan or pullover
stripes, textured, or stockinette
long sleeves or 3/4 sleeves
crew neckline or V-neckline
twelve (!) size options
32 colour options, all available at Urban Yarns

There are many support resources for this project on the home page for this project on the Rowan Yarns website. To download the free pattern you need to create a free account on the Rowan website, or log in if you already have one, then return to the KAL home page. When you are logged in, the home page will show a "Download PDF" button at the bottom. When you are logged out or have not registered yet, the home page will say "Please login or register to download this free pattern!".
