Shibui Linen

Shibui Linen is a clean, crisp linen fiber spun into a unique chain ply structure, giving your garment a wonderful drape.  It is perfect for summer and knits up into light and airy garments that get softer and more fluid with wear and washing.  The Sundry Tank pattern featured above and available in Interweave Knits Summer 2013 magazine, is knit using Shibui Linen for the body and Shibui Staccato for the stripes and border.  This easygoing tank is knit sideways and uses short-rows to create the hem and eyelets to decorate the body.

Shibui Mix No. 15 is an easy and flattering triangular garter stitch pattern.  It is reversible front to back and inside out and you can choose the neckline that suits your style.  It is knit using Shibui Linen held double, which gives the garment a nice crispness and sheen.

Shibui Mix No. 13 is a lattice lace pattern, which creates an open, breezy, and casual pullover.   Perfect for warmer weather, this garment, also knit using Shibui Linen, can be styled in a variety of ways, from casual beachwear to a more sophisticated look.

Talk about a perfect summer project, this linen top pattern is worked from side to side and stretches quite a bit after blocking.  Suggested yarn is Louet Euroflax, which is available in a wide range of colours.  An easy, light-weight project, using only two skeins of yarn - pattern is available free from designer Kat Coyle.
