- Always Something New -
Just in, a restock of Harrisville Designs including Harrisville Shetland and Harrisville Highland. Anina just finished Kvosin (above) from Stephen West's Kal. She knit this hat using Shetland, a beautiful sample of which is available for viewing at our Point Grey location. Jan is knitting the reversible Kex Scarf (below) also by Stephen West in Highland and is loving the pattern and the yarn. A sample will also soon be available for viewing, and hopefully, it will be featured along with the model on the right!

New Rowan All Seasons Chunky, a 60% cotton, 40% acrylic - great for relaxed summer knitwear has arrived. The All Seasons Chunky Collection, features 12 designs for women using this yarn, including cardigans and pullovers, as well as a stunning knee length dress that would look fabulous over swimwear.
Also, just in, is a wide selection of Churchmouse patterns including some lovely baby patterns such as the Garter Blocks Baby Blanket, the Picot-Edge Baby Blanket & Washcloth, and the Easy Peasy Baby Jacket. New scarfs and wraps include the Diagonal Lace, the Ruched, and our personal favourite, the Magic Three-Yarn Scarf & Wrap.

- Baby Project Ideas -
Our latest favourite baby patterns from Churchmouse include:
The Picot-Edge Baby Blanket - an easy garter-stitch blanket based on the old-fashioned washcloth pattern but with an optional pretty picot edge if you wish to dress it up. The pattern provides for three different gauge choices from DK to worsted to chunky. For the DK weight, Berroco Pure Pima is an option; for the worsted weight, Debbie Bliss, Cashmerino Aran; and, for the chunky weight, Debbie BlissGlen.
The Baby Wrap Sweater is a super simple garter stitch pattern, knit from cuff to cuff, with oodles of possibilities. You can make it plain or striped, or add an i-cord if you wish. Suggested yarn is Koigu KPM or KPPPM and we have loads of different colour options to choose from.
And, the Easy Peasy Baby Jacket is a perfect first sweater, also knit in garter stitch and offered in a DK and worsted weight version. Whether it's your first sweater, or one of many, you will appreciate not having to add front or neck bands. The DK version would look amazing with Rowan's Belle Organic DK; suggested yarn for the worsted weight version is Blue Sky Alpaca's Worsted Organic Cotton or Multi Cotton.
