Fatherhood Programs Funded
The Ohio Commission on Fatherhood is pleased to announce the selection of six organizations to implement regional fatherhood programs throughout the state.  Each program will receive $105,000 per year for two years and serve at least 200 fathers.

The organizations receiving funding are Urban Light Ministries, Forever Dads, Charisma Community Connection, Action for Children, WSOS and Talbert House.  They will provide fatherhood classes and individual coaching, co-parenting and relationship classes and employment services for unemployed and under-employed fathers.
New Legislators Appointed to the Commission

Two new legislators have been appointed to serve on the Ohio Commission on Fatherhood.  Ohio Senate Democratic Leader Eric H. Kearney (D-Cincinnati) is the father of two children and has championed legislation to strengthen Ohio families.  State Representative Roland Winburn (D-HarrisonTwp.) a Dayton native, father and grandfather, is serving his third term.  Both men bring valuable life and legislative experience to the commission.
