2012 NIAAA Annual Conference
December 2012 San Antonio, TX
|
The National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association conference in San Antonio, Texas was one of the best conferences the NIAAA has had in a long time. There was so much pertinent information available to help those Athletic Administrators be the leaders in their field. There were over 38 LTC classes offered as well as 42 workshops, presented by Athletic Directors from across the country. All 50 states were represented.
San Antonio was a fantastic place for the conference, as there was so much history and sites to see in what little down time we had. Of course, the San Antonio river meanders through the city, called the River Walk, which provides a breath taking area for shopping, restaurants and good southern old Texas hospitality. While there, one of our own, Tommy Marshall of The Marist School, was recognized with the Distinguished Service Award at the Awards banquet on Tuesday night, December 18th. There was a large contingent of Athletic Directors from the State of Georgia present, with over 33 in attendance. Pictured L-R: Chandler Yount (Asst. AD Marist), Rendell Jackson (Program Mgr for Middle Schools-Atlanta Public Schools), Natasha Harrigan (AD Mays), Jasper Jewell (Program Mgr for High Schools-Atlanta Public Schools), Jeff Beggs Dir. of Athletics-Atlanta Public Schools), Tommy Marshall (AD Marist), Joe Sanfillippo (AD White Co.), David Brooks (AD Carrollton), Mike Carswell (GADA President, Calvary Day), Bob Ward (Ret. Our Lady Of Mercy needs some bleachers
| Our Lady of Mercy needs some blea chers. We are trying to provide an area at our football field for the visitors. We would love donations, but are also open to purchasing if schools have a reasonable price. We are open to any kinds of bleachers. But need several small 3 to 6 row bleachers or a larger one piece (15 row type). We have some space on the visiting side and ultimately would like a riser system to place them on but for now we are just looking for any possible bleachers.
