 Church family at FBC, it is almost that time of year again when the Senior Adult Ministry calls on everyone to help us celebrate Christmas in July. In just a few short weeks you will see Christmas trees, decorated by Senior Adult Sunday School classes, throughout the church. In years past, we have had the privilege of visiting and distributing your gifts to at least six area assisted living facilities in our community. The residents have always been so appreciative of your generosity. This year, through much prayer and after observing projects such as Wounded Warrior, we have decided to support our troops who are putting their lives on the line 24/7 for you and me, through a project we are calling Mission Hero. Over half of the military men and women we will be supporting are from our state of Georgia. For security reasons, we are not able to get individual names. So this year for Christmas in July help us support our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan with Mission Hero. Elements of Mission Hero
Sunday, June 30, is our kick-off to purchase items for Patriot Packs which will contain helpful items for combat troops stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan. Requested items will be listed on tags attached to Christmas trees throughout our campus. A Flag Bag will also be available at the trees to be returned with your gift by Sunday, July 14. Blessing Books The Blackaby Experiencing God Day-by-Day camouflage devotional, will also be available in Senior Adult Sunday School classes for $5.00. When purchased, you will have an opportunity to write a personal note of encouragement on the flyleaf. If you have an active military friend or family member that you would like to send your book to, address cards will be available. A flag lapel pin will be our gift to you for your support. The following is an excerpt from one of the Blessing Books by Henry Blackaby. "In times such as these we are praying that you will rest in the assurance that the 'I AM' of the universe is always present with you. His presence will be sufficient for all of the circumstances of your life. And His desire is to always reach deep within your heart and say, 'Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.'"  I know that you are all enjoying your summer vacations, but Soccer will be here before you know it. Click here to be able to print a registration form and bring it tonight for 2013 Soccer at FBC Snellville! Registration is now open for 3 year-olds - 12 year olds for soccer. The early registration cost per child for soccer is $85; after July 15, the cost is $95. Deadline for registration is July 26. Soccer shorts are included in the registration cost. Please make checks payable to FBC Snellville. Credit Cards, Cash or Checks will be accepted at the July 15th Evaluations Everyone must attend one soccer evaluation. They will take place at the FBC Snellville Athletic field behind the Church at 2400 Main St Snellville, Ga 30078 K3 through 6th Grade Boys/Girls Monday, July 15 between 6:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Practices begin the week of Monday, August 12, 2013. First Game - Saturday, August 24, 2013 Awards Celebration - Saturday, October 12, 2013. I need coaches to volunteer to make this season a success. Infinity Kids Camp - July 8-12, 2013

Children who have completed grades 1st-4th by the end of 2012-13 school year are invited to attend. Camp activities will immerse your child in the Truth of God's Word through worship, Bible study, sports and individual activities. The cost is $100.00 per child, $90.00 for additional siblings. VBS 2013
A big thanks to all of you who helped make VBS a huge success this year! Our high attendance day was on Wednesday - We had 1288 on campus!! During the week, we had lots of decisions for Christ and steps toward God. We praise God for a blessed week!
