Remember that Medicare and The Health Insurance Marketplace for those under 65 are two different programs.
Medicare serves those that are 65 and older and on social security disability. The annual Medicare open-enrollment period runs from October 15th through December 7th while the Health Insurance Marketplace open enrollment runs from November 15, 2014 through February 15, 2015. The Health Insurance Marketplace is part of the Affordable Care Act also commonly known as Obamacare.
