At a Death Caf� people gather to eat cake, drink tea and discuss death. At the meeting the group has discussions concerning death but there is no meeting agenda, or particular objective and attendees are often strangers. The meeting is not about grief support but instead focuses on increasing the awareness of death through discussion.
