Traveling This Summer?
If you will be out of town on Sundays due to travel or other commitments, consider setting up an automatic giving schedule. Your support is crucial to our mission and ministry, most especially during summer months. To set up a confidential recurring contribution:
2. Set up an online profile
3. Follow the onscreen instructions to set up a recurring contribution to either Member Giving or Grace Alive
This lets you vacation or travel worry free about your gifts to the mission and ministry of Sandy Springs Christian Church. If you need help setting up an online profile, call DeAnna Elliott, Operations Director, at 404-256-2582.
Thanks in advance for your continued generosity.

Town Hall Meeting - May 31st from 10 am to 11 am
Please plan to attend a TownHall Meeting and a called Congregation Meeting on May 31 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in Dunlap Hall. The Scholarship Committee will provide a pancake breakfast. Pancakes will be available beginning at 8:30 for those who would like to eat before the 9 a.m. service.
The purpose of the called Congregation Meeting is for the congregation to affirm the Nominating Committee in accordance with the SSCC Bylaws.
In the TownHall Meeting, three topics will be covered: (1) a review and update on the Grace Alive Campaign, (2) an update on current plans for the Whitmire Pavilion, and (3) information about new small groups that will be forming over the summer and kick off in the fall. The architect for the Whitmire Pavilion will provide an overview of the plans, including a computer simulation that you are likely to find very informative. Please plan to attend.

Adult Focus Sunday School from 10:10-10:50
Path Finders, Paul and Pat Kapphahn "What To Do When The Month of May Isn't So Merry" An Adult Education Community for All Ages and Stages. We're extremely fortunate to have licensed counselors Pat and Paul Kapphahn leading the Path Finders' Class. If you have ever been depressed, known someone who is depressed, wondered how to figure out whether someone is depressed, or wanted to help someone who is depressed; consider attending our Path Finders' Class.
Modern Family, Danny Gulden - Conference Room Summer is right around the corner and for many summer means a break- or does it. Summer can be just as hectic or even more-so for families these days. Join Modern Family as we look at the biblical concept of Sabbath. What does it mean? Who's it for? Why do we need it? Together we will explore how the pace we live it is of great concern to God.
"The Heart of Christianity", Leslie Lady - Common Ground Have you read or thought about reading The Heart of Christianity by Marcus Borg ? Good news! You don't have to read it or even buy the book. Marcus Borg relates the contents of his immensely popular book in a videoed lecture series that we will watch and discuss each Sunday. These lectures are packed with the same clear and challenging discussions that characterize his widely read books. Dr. Borg has been a major voice among people who identify themselves as "progressive" Christians.
Lectionary, Larry Steinmetz, in the Children's Worship Room
Bible Study based on each Sunday's scripture lesson.

Prayer Requests
John, Mary and David Robeck celebrated, with Rachel, her graduation from P.A. school at Mercer. Thank You
Dear Friends, It is difficult to adequately express the gratitude we feel toward our SSCC family. The support we have received during Den's illness will never be forgotten. It seems you know just what we need and when need it. Thank you for the visits, cards, calls and general support. This has, and will continue, to be a long journey. Knowing you are on this journey with us fills our hearts with love for each and every one of you. Love, Julie and Denny
