Starting this autumn, EURASHE will lead one new project, the SAPS project on Supporting Apprenticeships between Professional Higher Education & Small and Medium Enterprises. In addition EURASHE will also be a partner in two further projects: IEWEXHE on Integrating Entrepreneurship and Work Experience into Higher Education; and INTELEC on International Teaching & Learning for Employability and Citizenship.

Since the beginning of 2016 EURASHE and UASnet have supported the development of new applied research indicators in cooperation with U-Multirank. EURASHE members also participated in the pilot survey of these indicators. As a result, the fourth release of U-Multirank will include two new questions in the institutional questionnaire, and a new ready-made ranking on applied research activities will be published after the 2017 release.

The Lifelong Learning Platform organises a yearly evaluation on the implementation of the Erasmus+ programme. The survey aims to provide decision-makers with an evaluation coming from the programme's beneficiaries on what works and what could be improved. The survey closes on 15 September 2016.

The 14th European Week of Regions and Cities will focus on the challenges currently facing Europe's regions and cities. Building on the implementation cycle of EU cohesion policy programmes, the event will be aligned with the political priorities of the European Commission's and the European Committee of the Regions for 2016 and with the interests of the partner regions and cities. Under the headline 'Regions and cities for sustainable and inclusive growth', some 100 sessions, seminars and meetings will be organised.
