Prof. Dr. Michael Nagel is Professor of International Management and Marketing and Head of the Department of International Business at Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University Stuttgart (DHBW), Germany. Professor Nagel teaches Business Administration, International Management and Marketing in bachelor and master programs. His current research focuses on theories, methods and tools for managing all aspects of a company's value chain, as well as on growth and profitability management.

Paul Benneworth is a Senior Researcher at the Center for Higher Education Policy Studies at the University of Twente, Netherlands. Paul's research concerns the relationships between universities and society in the context of the knowledge economy through understanding the dynamics of knowledge between university, policy, business and societal spheres. Paul is currently the Scientific Leader of the European Commission-funded Eunivation project, measuring the contribution of universities to innovation capacity in Europe.

Dr. Victoria Galán-Muros is the scientific manager of the two largest studies of university-business cooperation in Europe, for DG Education and Culture. As an academic and researcher, she is currently involved in Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Münster University of Applied Sciences, and Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University. Additionally, she is also director in the University-Industry Innovation Network (UIIN) and Editor in Chief of the University-Industry Innovation Magazine (UIIM).

Jens Nymand Christensen is Danish and holds a Master degree in Business Economics and International Economics. From 16 September 2014 he was appointed Deputy Director-General in the Directorate General for Education and Culture.

The European Commission organised a consultation on the Modernisation Agenda for Higher Education in Europe. EURASHE, as one of the main stakeholders in higher education at the European level, took part in the consultation through its membership. Our position paper reports on the consultation exercise. It focuses on cross-validating the guiding principles for policy and action within the ET 2020 Agenda. The paper will be on the agenda of the General Assembly in April.

The EQUIP project has published a comparative analysis of the ESG 2015 and ESG 2005. This paper provides an overview of the changes in the European Standards and Guidelines (ESG) as adopted in 2015 compared to the ESG first published in 2005, including an outline of the changes in the context, scope, purposes and principles; a description of changes in the wording of the standards; and an analysis of the content of the related guidelines.

For the eighth consecutive year the "Day of Organic Farming", organised by the University of Agribusiness and Rural Development (UARD), took place on 26 February 2016 in Plovdiv (Bulgaria). The meeting's rationale was to bring together leading researchers, business representatives and producers to discuss opportunities, obstacles and good practice examples in organic farming.
